That's a tough call. They both use different technology. The Sonicare uses Sonic vibrations which is better for your gum and better for cleaning between teeth. Three oral b is better for polishing and cleaning the surfaces of the teeth. If you are in your 40s or older where receding gum can be an issue, I'd go with Sonicare. Sonicare also feels better but a bit harder to maneuver due to the larger brush head. Oral is a little bit easier to use because of it's smaller round brush head. If possible, get both and use the oral b in the morning for polishing your teeth. Then use the Sonicare at night for cleaning and blasting away food particles. That's what I do. Oh and don't forget to floss!

EDIT: When item was shipped, sales tax was adjusted to the sale price. Thanks Sams Club

Why does Sams club charge sales tax on the full retail amount? Shouldn't it be on the sale price?

Costco used to do this as well but changed it a couple years ago so you only pay sales tax on the actual amount now.

I have had both brands. I prefer Oral B. I like the shape of Oral B.

Great deal. In for one. Was going to do the Costco Black Friday deal for the top of the line Sonicare two pack for 150. This is almost half the price and fits the need.
Thanks!!

I switched to SonicCare a year ago thinking that it seemed like slightly more dentists preferred it over the Oral B for their personal use. But I just recently switched back to Oral B. I have a permanent retainer and I felt like I saw more build-up with the Soniccare than Oral B. I also felt like I had more issues with sore, bleeding gums and gingivitis with the Soniccare.

I was able to demo the Oral B series 9 amd as someone who used a standard toothbrush, it was a game changer. I'd thought the price of these things and replacement heads was ridiculous, then, I used the series 9. All the gimmicky "just left the dentist" hype is rather close to correct.

My teeth were noticeably smoother, gums less sensitive, when I floss there is less blood, and the time spent brushing is always perfect.

I bought these. I'm happy to pay this price for how well they work.

I want to know too... couldn't make out from the description. Costco's went oos before I could buy

EDIT: Figured the Costco oral b model is better.has six modes, including tongue cleaning vs sam's 5 modes and 4 brush heads vs sam's 3 for $20 more. Costco has it in stock now .will check today if Costco has it in store for cheaper price,if not will order online

I've been using sonicare diamond clean for 4.5 years and it died two months ago. My never felt fully clean with the sonicare but I now floss waterpick with each meal. I think the sonicare will work better for me
