I wish I could justify this. I have the Mavic Pro (first model) and though I've shot some amazing footage with it I only use it like once a year right now cause I lived in DC (no fly zone) and now where I am in LA I can't fly it either. TY for sharing though - looks amazing and you're right, no tax in California.

This is not a toy. This has professional grade cameras, complete avoidance system, and would be able to create income based on you using it to make money. It won't mine bits but it does have value added above and beyond "Just a toy".

Those are nice! I too own the first gen Mavic pro and only use it like once a year. And too afraid to carry it on planes cuz it's a little big. Was debating on selling it locally since I barely used it.

that second image with the dry hills is absolutely amazing.. Im 50 years old and never been outside of Florida.. We dont have anything that even closely resembles that terrain.
It looks supernatural / extraterrestrial .

Actually , its a very good question that I think does lend wise thoughts to this thread.. Everyone, rich and poor alike should be weighing the pros and cons of items like this before placing a "want" over a "need".. good stuff.. I will get down voted also.. and i dont give a rats azzzzz LMAO

I know the feeling. Similar situation I also have the first model and live in the DC area. I will say though if you don't mind driving out a bit there's definitely a lot film outside of DC where they don't have no fly zones. The problem is just finding the time to get there.
