Brink Traveller might be another fun option for those that like this kind of thing. Brink has limited locations, but completely created with VR in mind for each of the locations.
Bought this on the last Sale and man it is fun. I feel like I've only used a small sampling of what it can do. I've located old places that I used to visit as a kid, and saw my old house last seen in the 80's, in its "current" state in 2018.
I recall the big buzz when Oculus VR headsets first came to market.
Besides gameplay they were advertised for TV watching, virtual hanging out with friends and even conference meetings.
Now you seldom hear about them...
I have this and it is OK, but it is pretty old I think. For example, we have lived in our house for almost five years and when I go to our house in Wander, the previous owner's vehicles are in the driveway. I wouldn't expect it to be real-time, but it seems to go back quite awhile ago. As long as you realize this it can be fun going to some famous landmarks.
Where I live, it's been hitting below 32degF, and often cold and rainy. Soon, snow and sub-zero temperatures.
I bought a treadmill specifically for this situation. Even so, I still get out bundled up, for now, at least, when it's not precipitating.
On the other hand, wearing a headset while on the treadmill is probably inadvisable. One wrong move, and you'd end up falling off badly. That's one reason I did not cheap out on a smaller treadmill, because over- or under-stepping will end poorly.

I wish this was on sale... but for what it is, $10 isn't a terrible price. Hopefully, they add more places soon.
