How to Stack TF's Verizon SIM
- Adding the additional data (3GB), minutes (1,200), and text (1,200) on the new TF Verizon SIM to an existing TF Verizon account (number).
- First, you would need the IMEI of an unlocked Verizon-compatible phone (You do not necessarily need the physical phone).
Turn off your current phone and replace the old SIM card with the new TF Verizon SIM card.
Go to TF's website (https://www.tracfone.com/), sign on to your account, and click on the [ACTIVATE] button.
Choose [I'M BRINGING MY OWN SMARTPHONE]. Accept [ACCEPT TERMS AND CONDITIONS] => [YES].
Do you have a Tracfone SIM card? Under [YES, I ALREADY HAVE ONE], enter the ICCID of the new TF Verizon SIM card, and click [CONTINUE].
Please enter phone's IMEI or MEID => enter the IMEI of an unlocked Verizon-compatible phone, and click [CONTINUE].
Is your device currently active with another carrier? Click [NO].
Do you want to keep your current phone number? Click [YES], and select the number you want to keep from the dropdown box, and click [CONTINUE].
If everything goes through properly, you should see the message: "Your request has been submitted. Your phone number transfer may take from a few hours to up to two business days to complete." Click [CONTINUE]
Again, if everything went through properly, you should see the message: "SUCCESS! Thank you for your business!" The service end date would show additional year added.
You can now turn on your phone.
Wait for a couple of hours or overnight, and check your account. The additional data (3GB), minutes (1,200), and text (1,200) should already have been added to your account.
Now you can put your old SIM card back into the phone, and put away the new SIM card.
you get a total of 1200 mins 1200 texts and 3Gb for the ENTIRE YEAR. Not a monthly plan.
Put this sim in your phone and choose the option to keep your phone number and you will keep whatever service time, minutes, data and texts, and this will add one year service to your previous balance with the added minutes, texts and data.
Lets put things into perspective.
Different people have different need.
Some may use this plan for young kids and elderly parents, some may choose to use it because they constantly has WIFI access. Some just use it for Andriod Auto with a backup phone. Moreover, Tracfone allows you to pick Verizon, ATT and TMobile network, which is a plus. Their reward system is kind of nice too.
I remember the same plan sold at $20 last year right before christmas, I think that was an excellent value. I hope tracfone sells the same or slightly less plan for $20 this year.
Regarding customer services, I heard the chat agent was ok. For me, I never needed to deal with it and I have setup everything online.
Hope that helps.

How does this work if I already have Tracfone service and SIM/phone?
Put this sim in your phone and choose the option to keep your phone number and you will keep whatever service time, minutes, data and texts, and this will add one year service to your previous balance with the added minutes, texts and data.
Reposting this question from the other thread: I currently have a (locked) tracfone phone with the one year plan thats expiring end of november. Would it be wiser to get one of these cards and add it on before it expires? Or buy the card after the plan has ended and the phone has unlocked?
