Great post. 2/6 on my cards. Both on Business Blue Simply Cash Amex.

Big plus: $250 can be accumulated in "one or more" visits.

I do have this offer on a Blue for Business Card. The T&C have the following statement that is a little confusing about gift card purchase, since I would like to purchase a $250 GC for future use with this offer. The wording suggests that GCs are EXcluded when purchased by a third party site, so it seems like a GC purchase at the store should be eligible for the offer. Any thoughts????

Here is the language: Excludes any Lowe's branded website that is operated by a third party on behalf of Lowe's, including but not limited to applianceparts.lowes.com, lowesstore.wgiftcard.com, blinds.lowes.com, as well as the sale of any electronic or corporate gift cards.

Update: I did get thru to customer care at AMEX who said that with all their offers, the purchase of GC or Cash Equivalent does not qualify, and the language up above does not even refer to this, as it is a separate provision that is not always stated.

I've done a lot of amex offers like this in the past and even ones that specifically had wording in the terms against third party gift cards, ended up working. I've never had one that didn't work.

I doubt there is any mechanism in place where the merchant transmits to Amex exactly what items are purchased. I think the only thing that matters is that the minimum amount is spent and the processing merchant is correct (so not those third party websites).

I had this offer on 2 of my business cards. I went in store today and bought 10x $50 Shell gift cards (split into two transactions for $250 each). Afterwards I got the automatic email from Amex right away saying I used my offer.

It probably will go through fine. I'll come back and update if for whatever reason it doesn't.

Worst case I committed money to gift cards, nothing really major lost.

FWIW, my local Lowes also had Olive Garden, Netflix, Subway, Panda Express, Amazon, BP ($25 increments), ebay gift cards for sale, just to name some of the big ones.

In the past gift card is always honored in Amex offers. I believe it would work this time.

I have this offer on my SimplyCash Business card

OFFER TERMS

Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid in-store at Lowe's (excluding any Lowe's Outlet(s)) and online at Lowes.com or LowesforPros.com. Valid only on purchases made in US dollars. Valid at participating locations in US. See merchant website for shipping policy. Some merchants may not ship to all areas. Excludes any Lowe's branded website that is operated by a third party on behalf of Lowe's, including but not limited to applianceparts.lowes.com, lowesstore.wgiftcard.com, blinds.lowes.com, as well as the sale of any electronic or corporate gift cards. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/31/2021, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your purchase as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account. The enrolled Card account must be active, not past due, canceled, or have a returned payment outstanding to receive the statement credit. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are dynamic and personalized, so the offers you see may change. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer.

Anybody discovered a trick for their crappy system to see past the 100? I've got 100 available and 95 added, so don't want to add any more in case something good comes up instead of the 92 crap ones I had to add.
