250 nits might be a concern?

This vs the ViewSonic VX2718? (Aside from 27" and 1500R curvature)

I tried doing some research on it this morning to figure out why it wasn't getting more traction. The things I found was that it didn't have HDR and I saw some comments saying it wasn't really 4ms on response time....but that it was much slower in real life. Don't know how true that is.

What is Acer's return policy?
Say, how many deal pixels make the screen returnable, who will pay for the shipping? How good is Acer store's reputation? Anyone knows? Thanks!

HDR monitor are pointless until you hit 500 nits range but then you are looking at $500 price point.

Following. Don't get why this is so cheap and not getting more traction. Need a monitor like this for a Series S. Is no HDR a deal breaker?

250 nits like you said, mixed with the VA panel and possible no return on dead pixels dings it a bit.

I bought a similar monitor last year from an Amazon deal - Acer, 32" curved, QHD, 144Hz, etc., and I've already got 2 dead / dying pixels.

They don't RMA until 3 I believe, but regardless, I'd never buy another Acer again. Been looking for a deal on either a pair of 27" QHD, or a 34"
UW next.

Seems like a good deal on a monitor. I bought the Dell s322 last year (first monitor in years) and at day 365 HDMI went out. Dell replaced it without any issues. As much as I want this monitor dead pixels and 250 nits is not enough to save $100+

This is the truth. Most people don't look at nits ( brightness) and without good brightness HDR doesn't matter.

4ms gtg is pretty slow for a panel these days, but not awful at this price point. Too big of a downside for the extra screen real estate IMHO. 27" really is the sweet spot and you can get 1ms 1440p 165hz, around this price point in a 27" panel
