Beasty saw. Eats batteries like crazy, but eats up anything you're sawing just as quick. Loud, vibrates like a V8 with bad plugs, but I really love this saw. 4 way quick release blade mount, plenty of power, squeezes into spots a full size saw won't go, really comes alive with the 5ah XR battery, and compact enough it will fit in a 12 inch tool bag. 👍🏻

This is a decent price. It's been lower if you play the Home Depot free tool hacks, but if you wanna just buy a saw and be done, this is a fair price.

Can you 1 hand a piece of 3-4" pvc with this or too heavy/aggressive?

Likely a bit too heavy. Dewalt makes a 1-handed recip saw that's much lighter. Tradeoff is a bit less oomf and a shorter reciprocating length.

I'd say yeah, but it might be a wild ride. I had this, and I liked how light it was and that I could definately one hand it in certain situations. But I ended up returning it for the flexvolt one, which is a chonky boy with muscle for days. I have the Milwaukee Hackzaws for one handing stuff too, so another reason I returned it.

At this price, it's a really good deal though.

3"-4" PVC isn't a problem for me with a decent blade, but no way I could do something like a vertical 4x4. Requires more forearm and hand strength than I could muster. I'm sure some muscleheads could power it through though.

I bought the Flexvolt full size recip saw, but it's a heavy beast. Was thinking of returning that and buying this. If you could only have one, and you didn't have your HackZaws, which would you choose?

I mainly want it for trimming tree limbs but would also use it for house projects.

Is this a legit store and website to order from? And if you get a defective one, is it easy to return?

Good to know! Where did you see that? When I search online at NAPA [napaonline.com], I don't see it listed.

The site is legit, got a couple of the $69 dewalt oscillating tools last week. Super fast shipping.

If I could only have one and no hackzall, then this one for sure. It has the better balance of power and weight if I could pick just one.

The flexvolt is a beast, and i think a lot has to do with it weighing as much as a bag of concrete. The flexvolt just lets gravity do the work once I got the blade going. You won't want to make a lot of cuts overhead or from the sides with it though bc of its weight. At least that's how I justified having a hackzall too.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks for the great feedback on both models.

Great to hear! I just placed my order and was glad to see free shipping and no sales tax since I'm in a different state than CA. That makes it an even better deal with no sales tax. Thanks OP!
