I will never ever ever buy another robot vacuum without mapping. It's a complete game changer. Rather than having it just bump around randomly, it actually vacuums everywhere you need. 1,000% it's worth it for mapping.
I've had this vacuum since launch. It's great, though I can't compare it to a similarly specd Roomba or anything, this is my first. Rarely gets stuck, when ur does it's due to being slightly too tall to fit under my coffee table. I just had to create a no go zone slightly larger than the table. I could clean my 1600 sq ft house twice with a single charge on strong suction level. Just make sure you pick up anything you don't want vacuumed and get loose cords out of the way. Highly recommended, especially for the price.
Edit: regarding the battery which some find insufficient, it will go charge itself and pick up where it left off so the battery problem IMO is moot.
Love our Robot Vacuum. We've been using it daily since June. Had some issues getting it to charge reliably when the charging station was on carpet. Even though the vacuum would cozy up next to the station, it wouldn't charge. We put the charging station on a hard floor, and haven't had a single problem since. It cleans very well, maps great, gets around barriers and slight up/down bumps between rooms. Easy to clean. App has worked great, and mapping is pretty fun that you can split/merge rooms and rename them to get your house just right and be able to only vacuum single rooms/areas at a time. We're satisfied!

I got one from Walmart in June for $216 for my parents. It has been working great, and the mapping is a life saver. I was fascinated looking at it going up and down from the app. Being able to schedule individual rooms is awesome.
Seeing I already have Wyze cameras, and the app, I'm going to give this a shot. We have a "stupid" robovac which has run great for years but sees less and less use because it keeps getting stuck in places. I'm hoping that with the LIDAR I can prevent this one from doing that.

Lucky you didn't buy Roomba. It's $350 at Costco and it just made random moves & so weak. I returned mine. The worse vacuum ever
I have 2 of these and they work great, but if I were to buy now I'd get something with a self empty bin. Lots of new models coming out with self empty bins and lidar for a little more than this one. I am hoping to upgrade on black friday.
Is this better than the eufy g30 verge? I bought the eufy a few weeks back when it was on sale for $149 but is this one worth the additional $70 for the mapping?
I got this when it was released.. Not enough battery. Otherwise it's solid. I would get a refurb roborock S6 first though (it was on sale here recently)

I was in the same situation as you. I bought the g30 verge from Walmart. I thought it had room mapping but it didn't. I returned it and bought the Wyze robot vacuum, which has room mapping. So far I love it. I want to clean the kitchen more than the other rooms. The Wyze robot vacuum allows me to select room/rooms to clean.
I bought it from their official website with cam plus discount ( 10% off) plus a promo code I found online (10% off)
I paid $238.19 in total.
