I have used TP-Link products for a long time and have never had a single issue. Their Kasa line of smart switches and plugs is fantastic IMO, especially factoring in the price component. Their routers are also solid, although admittedly not as feature rich historically as some other brands like ASUS or Netgear. On the other hand, my Netgear routers all had connectivity issues and died after a few years due to unstable firmware updates. My TP-Link mesh system has been running without a problem for over a year.

I was really set on buying a set of these, until I came across Vilo Mesh. $20 per unit, much cheaper than this.
Although TPLink seems to have each unit help each other out, while Vilo only connects to the main one.
Also Vilo doesn't have wifi 6, but only have 1 device have that currently anyway

I got a Deco X60 (not on offer here). Generally very happy with it, works reliably and fast.

What is difference between deco M3 and S4, apart from house square foot, both of them are suitable for my house, trying to decide if there is something very specific that sets them apart,
could not find any compare on tp-link site

I used tplink av1200 adapters with good results in my old house, but my new house is wired with siemens AFCI breakers and using powerline adapters causes the breakers to randomly trip.

I had a security contractor run ethernet through my attic instead and I'm using that to backbone my mesh setup, with a couple wireless nodes filling in the gaps.

Do you do networking for a living? How many TP-link products have you installed and used?

Because you had a bad experience doesn't make the product inferior. You think no one got a bad Cisco or Netgear or Sonicwall?

I regularly use TP-Link products in businesses and highly recommend them. I've got no reason to whine about them, except for people who throw their personal experience blanket all over a product line.

I second this. I've configured, tested, and troubleshot over 1,100 Decos alone and they hold up very nicely.

There's definitely nicer out there, but I highly recommend TP-Link for lots of people that don't have the budget for higher end hardware like Unifi.

If you're set on a mesh network and don't want to spend $500+ TP-Link has been fantastic.

Which of these do you recommend as an upgrade over asus ac1900? Mostly a range issue for me. anything beyond 50ish feet and my speeds are like 1/3rd of full

I went from a Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000 to a Nest wifi two pack unit and love the coverage and reliability. I can't speak for TP-Link but mesh in general is the way to go in any house. It just provides that much more signal strength and overall coverage of dead spots.

P.S. I have owned several TP-Link switches and even their Archer routers and loved them all. They were always good and affordable. I think these units are going to provide similar value for people.

Any of these mesh routers track cumulative data usage per month like Google AC1200? I have deco M9 plus and unfortunately those don't. TP Link is not likely to add that functionality soon so I may replace.

Yes. On 2.4ghz band this will give you 300Mbps. 5ghz will give you significantly more but I have noticed unless you are pretty close to a point it connects to 2.4ghz. Plus in reality what purpose does a 300Mbps pipe really serve? I am asking a very curious and sincere question.
