the 2k pan tilt camera does not mention "person detection", while the non-pan tilt one does. For those who own this camera, does it have "person detection" or not? I'm talking about "motion detection", thanks.

Anyone have any opinions on outdoor plug? Will it last in rain? Winter?
We use ours outdoor for Christmas lights and while on a porch it's still exposed to the elements—worked really well for us, I just bought another.

Anyone know if you can view the feed of these cameras in Google Home?
I don't have these specific cameras but I do have other Kasa cameras and I have not been able to get them to be paired/linked with google home. They show up but when you click the camera it states "This video stream can't be viewed here. If you have a smart display or Chromecast, you can ask the Assistant to stream it there."

Hope this answers your question!

I've had the outdoor plug for about 3 years now and use it with my pool pump in the Summer and light decor during the holidays. Works great! It has stood up to all the elements.

This power strip is awesome. Used last year for outdoor lights and Christmas tree. Turn on/ off or set schedule with Google Assistant or Alexa. The Kasa switches and dimmers are great also

While I like the physical switches of Kasa better than the Pico remotes from Caseta, the Kasa devices have a perceptible lag, and they don't all turn on simultaneously. With an identical dimming speed set across all Kasa switches, some will turn on quicker than others. All my Caseta switches turn on immediately and simultaneously, so I thought all smart switches would have the same uniformity.

I've gotten used to it, but the Kasa switches have been relegated to single-light rooms.

I've also used these for a couple of years for holiday lights. They seem to be really durable and have had no issues so far !

I have a few TP-Link Kasa products in my home (1 smart bulb, 2 smart plugs and a smart power strip) and they all have issues staying connected and following the scheduled on/off times. Just a fyi.
I have 10 switches and 8 plugs and I've never had trouble with any of them connecting and faithfully carrying out its scheduling.

Add me to those that love these for holiday lights as well!

Lutron requires a base while tp link does not. I think that's why you're getting variability. I am not sure why it would matter if they didn't turn on simultaneously but I've never had any delay that was that long that I would've even noticed or cared. When I tell Google to turn the lights on in a room both lights turn on within a second and that's all that matters to me. I have lutron and it's the biggest waste of money imo and the unit benefit is that I can see it having better customer support, no neutral needed, and the base technically might help with taking up bandwidth from your router.

My Kasa switches, and Leviton plug are my only smart home devices that work every single time I ask it to do something. Everything else is so dang hit or miss.

How are these as compared to wemo's? I have a lot of wemo's already as well as zwave, zigbee, etc.. from different vendors. I run it all through home assistant, but I am hesitant to add yet another app or control for these but if they work well I might bit the bullet since the price is good. I don't recall wemo's ever going this low in price for similar items.

We use 2 of these, one to drive an outdoor camera and the other for the ornamental lights on our deck.

Like all other TP-LINK Kasa products, these are very simple to set up and reliable.
