Or buy now and can return/rebuy if it does go lower. I pricematched at Best Buy and their return period is extended.

Yeah I had a cheap one and then with apple branded. The palm recognition and recognizing pressure was far superior

No. Pencil 2 is only compatible with:

iPad mini (6th generation)
iPad Pro 12.9-inch
(3rd, 4th, and 5th generation)
iPad Pro 11-inch
(1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation)
iPad Air
(4th generation)

Pencil 1 is compatible with the regular iPads.
