I've had 2 optomitrists refuse to give me that info because they knew what I was doing with the info instead of buying an identical pair from their shop for $300+. Costco vision center has a machine they pop in front of your eyes for 2 seconds and they give you the pupil distance. Didn't have to be a member, sign anything, or pay for anything.

I've been ordering glasses from Goggles4u for like a decade (five or six pairs per year because they're so darn cheap with promo codes working all the time). I've also ordered from Zenni. This year, I tried KITS when I needed glasses quickly and I'm very happy. Quality on the two pairs I've ordered has been noticeably higher than Goggles4u.

I ordered with anti-glare coating and it came to about $20 shipped. My first order arrived two days after placing it. Second order took 3 or 4 days. Around the time of the second order I also placed an order with Goggles4u (I like having a few pairs and the cost is prescription sunglasses is far more expensive with KITS since you can pretty much always use a 70% off code at Goggles4u). The glasses I ordered from Goggles4u took more than a month to arrive this last time.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that I'm a happy customer of a competitor and I'd still recommend KITS and buy from them again. I would note though that this code is on all the time, so this isn't a new deal or one you can't always get.

Yeah, I did that and then noticed in the order confirmation - verify prescription by phone and then in the email it states they'd contact my doctor about my prescription and to make sure my prescription is accurate because doctors don't always pick up the phone. Not sure if that's some sort of legal thing they just have to state or what.

I concur about Goggles4u. Love them and have been using them for years. Easy to get 50-70% off and $20 a pair shipped. The only issue I have is that they discontinue frames all the time. I go back to order another one of something I like, and its gone.

got my glasses today.

I chose no coatings on the lenses but it looks like they added the anti reflection coating on mine (green tint on reflections) maybe they added other coatings too.

overall good glasses and good deal

+$49 for any prescriptions over -4.0 which will need high index lenses.

Cheaper to go with retail price as eyebuydirect, zenni, or goggles4u

I have -8 in each eye and need progressives. With the SMS50 code you get from signing up for texts, it came to $105, honestly not bad at all. Getting glasses using my insurance cost me $65 out of pocket on eye conic (the only online site my insurance - VSP - works with). Highly considering a pair of these as a backup. I priced a similar pair on Zenni for $150.

It's AR included free?
Ordered mine without AR or any coatings. The lenses arrived with AR.

I'm noob to rx glasses.
Got rx and glasses from Costco
Dang the glasses are expensive, about $230 total.

Is this site legit?
Is this too good to be true?
$10.55 for build your own rx glasses?
Kind of not buying that, considering Costco's was way pricier

I don't see any option for bifocals. Only progressives. Zenni and others do offer bifocal lenses. (My eyes don't tolerate the progressive lenses.)
Same here. What kind of eyeglass company doesn't offer bifocals?? Were it not for others' inputs here in the thread that would seem shady...

I have been ordering for many years from G4U too but quality went down for last couple of years with frame and lens coatings

I've ordered from other sites before, but this one actually has a prescription verification check? If anyone knows what that entails, I'd appreciate it. On other sites, I just manually input my prescription and I'm good to go.
This just means that they will verify the perscription that you entered with your dr's office.

This is what I assumed prior, but it ended up being some sort of "CYA" for the company, they don't actually verify anything, so it ended up being the same as other sites I've previously ordered from, enter your prescription and you're set.

Does anyone have experience with them trying to charge an extra $49? My order total was $43 because I wanted blue screen, and other stuff but i got an email saying that my glass falls outside the range standard. I'm -4.47 -5.50 and they email saying it will cost an extra $49 to make my glasses because it requires a light 1.67 index. Kind of disappointed, it is not a good deal for me then.
Are your current glasses High Index? You have a high prescription, so the frames may not be able to handle the thickness of your lenses using the non-HI material.

Sadly, could not find a frame that suits my needs and preferences. The search goes on.
