PD (pupillary distance) is the distance between your pupils - they use it to adjust the angle of your lenses to best suit your vision. In short: you need it for any prescription.
There are apps and tutorials online for how to measure your own, since most optometrists won't give it to you without a fight (trying to keep you buying frames there I guess)
Source: been wearing glasses since I was 6

If I were you, I would go into a local store and ask them to give you the PD. Maybe tip $10 or whatever if you feel like an asshole.
I've tried measuring myself and it's really hit or miss.

Measure it several times with the GlassesOn app. It works really well for me.
* You always need PD, not only for progressives.
* Read the length and glasses window dimensions from your current frame printed near the left or right ear of your frame to filter down the size that fits you.

I have no connection to this app. It just worked really well after I tried several.
Use the phone with maximum resolution lense and taking measurements in brightly lit room helps.
* measure several times with the app, it should give you consistent results

Also, the PD is halved when ordering progressives since it's per eye. My total PD was 66mm but came out to 32mm per eye. Measured by Walmart Eye Center.

They have a virtual PD measuring feature you can use https://www.kits.com/pd-tool.html - or you can take a selfie and send into kits and they'll measure for you.

I have blue light filtering on my lenses and it really does work. Lenses have a light yellowish tint though. Unsure about blue light from this company, though.

There is no difference in eye strain with blue light filter

Your optometrist should provide your written prescription upon request. It is required by law in California and many states. Many chain optometric shops also have it as their policy. They won't volunteer it since many people will just order their prescription from the examining shop if they think it is not portable information. I'm not sure what states it does not apply in, but most optometrists would do so as a courtesy, especially if asked right after you've paid them to examine you.
Be sure to ask specifically for your PD (Pupilarry Distance). This is 1 (total) or 2 (left, right) numbers in mm. This is necessary when ordering glasses online.
If you have a contact prescription, ask for that separately as well. The values for contacts may be different if you have progressive, monovision, or other contact prescriptions. And the brand and type will also be part of this which is important because the BC and other fit, comfort, and specialty features are part of the brand.

I've been ordering glasses from Goggles4u for like a decade (five or six pairs per year because they're so darn cheap with promo codes working all the time). I've also ordered from Zenni. This year, I tried KITS when I needed glasses quickly and I'm very happy. Quality on the two pairs I've ordered has been noticeably higher than Goggles4u.
I ordered with anti-glare coating and it came to about $20 shipped. My first order arrived two days after placing it. Second order took 3 or 4 days. Around the time of the second order I also placed an order with Goggles4u (I like having a few pairs and the cost is prescription sunglasses is far more expensive with KITS since you can pretty much always use a 70% off code at Goggles4u). The glasses I ordered from Goggles4u took more than a month to arrive this last time.
Anyway, what I'm saying is that I'm a happy customer of a competitor and I'd still recommend KITS and buy from them again. I would note though that this code is on all the time, so this isn't a new deal or one you can't always get.
I've had 2 optomitrists refuse to give me that info because they knew what I was doing with the info instead of buying an identical pair from their shop for $300+. Costco vision center has a machine they pop in front of your eyes for 2 seconds and they give you the pupil distance. Didn't have to be a member, sign anything, or pay for anything.
I ordered the free premium lens upgrade, came with AR coating.

I've ordered from other sites before, but this one actually has a prescription verification check? If anyone knows what that entails, I'd appreciate it. On other sites, I just manually input my prescription and I'm good to go.

i think all you have to do is just put in your prescription info and order

Yeah, I did that and then noticed in the order confirmation - verify prescription by phone and then in the email it states they'd contact my doctor about my prescription and to make sure my prescription is accurate because doctors don't always pick up the phone. Not sure if that's some sort of legal thing they just have to state or what.
And you absolutely need AR with these glasses. I ordered a pair last year using the promo with no add-on's and had to send back for "upgrade" to get the anti-glare because I couldn't see a single thing when driving at night. Customer service was great though, gave me return label and I only had to pay difference for the replacements. Good quality frame, much sturdier than the usuals I get from Zenni (although I stick to < $25 frames from Zenni)

I'm sure there are a lot of people who didn't even know this deal existed. For instance I didn't even know until I found out yesterday.
