Ok, it's kind of annoying, but works. You get the Habitat card ($57.50 for $50). Then after that is processed , which took a couple minutes for me, you get an email that opens a page with the Habitat card number and PIN. There is a link to the redemption page (new tab, but looks like run by same site, egift(dot)blackhawknetwork(dot)com that you go to and redeem the Habitat card for $57.50 in credit, which can finally be applied to a Home Depot gift card.

So it involves going through several steps, is kind of annoying, but I did finally get a Home Depot digital gift card valued at $57.50 for the $50 initial Habitat card purchase. (The Home Depot digital card is a printable page with the gift card number + pin, as well as a barcode, so you can use the gift card online, or just print it and use in-store. )

Sales tax?
You pay tax when you actually buy a real item. Here, you are exchanging real cash for digital currency. Dont worry the tax man will get his pound of flesh.

One lowes (wounded warrior) one home depot (habitat for humanity) per account does not seem to be an issue.... in case you were assuming they would not let you get 2 cards

I used Android and it autofills everything. Clicking links is not hard. I spent more keystrokes writing this reply.
I guess he has to show everybody how rich he is and saving 15% is so beneath him.
Why is he on Slickdeals? LOL.

15% of $50 = $7.50
If making minimum wage of $15/hour, that's 30 minutes.
I would rather spend a few minutes clicking links than 30 minutes of real work.

What does this mean in the description:

Am I correct in thinking that the 4x fuel points be automatic?

Most of the rich people I know keep their wealth by not spending it.

If you scan your Kroger card, it's automatic.

We always loaded up on Kroger fuel points and then use google to find Kroger/Ralphs/Frys along our route. $1 off per gallon makes for sweet savings.
Unfortunatly I'm on the west coat so Yangzi and your ideas won't work for me because there aren't any Krogers/ Ralphs/ Fry/ Walmart/ BP gas stations around here. There are Sams Clubs but not many. Back in the day 76 and Shell used to sell 10% off gift cards but I haven't seen them for a few years. I can get discounted Walmart gift cards using Discover this quarter but I don't know if I could convert that into gas gift cards in store if they even sell them. Anyone tried it?

I feel good knowing that the credit cards donated their fees.

So these gift cards get swiped as a credit card. If you have a small amount left (say $3), how do you spend it when your purchase is over that (since it's swiped as a credit card and not a gift card that gets drained from the cashier's end)?

Nov 13, yesterday, was the last day.
Slickdeals editor deleted that important part of the original post when SD went in for the money grab.
