Browsing in Chrome is snappy and watching Hulu or YouTube in split screen mode while running other apps is no trouble at all. I do run a volume boost Chrome extension, as the volume is a tad low (because of the speaker placement, the "easel" mode is the loudest and clearest).
The front facing camera is only 720P and under 1MP, so I've just pretended it doesn't exist.
MicroSD is available, but you can't use it for system storage, obviously.
It's been able to run every Android app I've thrown at it, including ones I've side loaded. Linux VMs also run smoothly.
Would I get it for Android gaming? Definitely not, but I've been able to get Steam Link and Moonlight running on it for some remote PC gaming.
EDIT: One last thing to note: Opening it up is super simple. I replaced the thermal paste and was able to drop the temps 10 degrees. The fan runs less, so I've been able to get an extra 30min to an hour of runtime.
Also, the battery is not glued down, so swapping it is a matter of unplugging the old one and plugging in a new one.

Yes, very common problem on many Chromebooks. Most of them tend to neglect speakers and put cheapest junk in. I just use headphones or a Bluetooth speaker with my Chromebooks.
edit:. I have 4 different Chromebooks and only 1 of them has decent speakers. but even the better one doesn't compare to speakers in my Dell XPS 13

I bit the bullet on a 'Satisfactory' one for $400. Relative to this one, I'm in two minds still. It's a much better processor, double the RAM and quadruple the storage whilst also being an SSD. However will you notice this stuff in use? Apparently the fan is on more in this model and the battery life is worse and the screen is the same.
Use case is mainly for web browsing and second screen experiences. Although I may want to do some video editing if I'm away on holiday.
Anyone else want to weigh in on this one?

Beautiful screen and the backlit keyboard is very nice. Didn't try the speakers. Surfing the internet is smooth.
Bought my wife that Acer $95 deal from like a decade ago so to me this one is awesome. Her current Chromebook has an 11" screen and I've been trying to find one around that size with a backlit keyboard for under $350 all year. Thought this one might be too big but the old Acer has a thick bezel so they're about the same size.
I highly recommend it, but it'll be used as a web machine and not much more. Can't answer to any high end users.
