Was about to bite but I believe that these older XT2s come with a Sync Module that doesn't support USB storage. This means you need a Blink subscription to view and store recorded videos…

I'm too much of cheap basterd to pay monthly fees unfortunately so these cams are no go for me. Shame, as they seem very decent for the price…

XT,XT2 and Indoor gen 1 have 7200s of cloud storage irrespective of when you bought it. The subscription only applies to other blink devices. Credit to justwanna.

Not true, I have the old versions and never paid subscription ever, you get X amount of free storage … never been even 5% full

Mine came with 3 blinks xt2 cameras and the sync module. All black.

I have the blink mini with a sync module 2. If I buy the xt2 camera only and hook them up together will the xt2 still get the 7200 second of free clouds?

Also I don't have an older account that is why I get the sync module 2 to avoid fees. Thanks

No, it came with the Sync Module Gen 2, not the Module 2.

what's the advantage to using a plugin USB drive if I do in fact have 2 hours free storage


My "acceptable" 3 camera kit came brand new. Killer deal. Ordering one stand alone as well.
