Was about to bite but I believe that these older XT2s come with a Sync Module that doesn't support USB storage. This means you need a Blink subscription to view and store recorded videos…

I'm too much of cheap basterd to pay monthly fees unfortunately so these cams are no go for me. Shame, as they seem very decent for the price…

XT,XT2 and Indoor gen 1 have 7200s of cloud storage irrespective of when you bought it. The subscription only applies to other blink devices. Credit to justwanna.

Not true, I have the old versions and never paid subscription ever, you get X amount of free storage … never been even 5% full

I bought the "Used - Good" condition 2 camera kit. It just arrived today. The box looked new and was "sealed" with two clear circle stickers but after opening it I can see that it used instead of new. The PIR sensors on both cameras have obvious scratches on them along with the side and back of the sync module. I would say the condition was more close to Very Good.

My first one arrived new in a sealed box. I notice that Sync module has power micro usb and a USB A port. Can I add local storage in this module? if so how it works compare to cloud?

Even though there is a USB A port there is no local storage capability with these sync modules included with the XT2.

My "used acceptable" came as brand new. And it's the upgraded version with 2 way audio which my older one's don't have.

I received mine same way like you mentioned and I bought the "used good" condition.
I'm wondering that other slick dealers who reports that they received sealed new condition may not seen any scratches? or their outside box was completely sealed instead of the 2 circle stickers. or they did not check their cameras close enough?

I like mine - I bought the 5x package from amazon new 2 years ago and have them around the house with only one inside. I haven't had to change the batteries yet but that time is probably coming soon. I have mine scheduled from 10pm to 6am unless we are on vacation since I'm in and out of the house working from home/sales etc. I've only had to take one down and delete/reset it and it works again just fine - not sure what happened.

Depends how much you use your camera. If you put it in a low activity area, you might be able to get over a year. I have it near a front door that gets maybe triggered 20-30 times a day and battery last at most 9-months.

Got my order in today. New in box. Been using blink for several years. May not be the best cameras ever but they do a decent job for monitoring the house, wild life, and very easy to setup.

i've had the xt and now the xt2 for several years. they're convenient, work in cold weather and hot weather. in MN we've had -50 degree windchill for extended periods and they work in it, though the battery life goes quicker. i use some knock off lithium batteries and get a little less than a year in the outdoor cams. the indoor ones last longer. the free storage is great. we mainly use it for knowing who's coming and going, but if you're needing something that is constantly recording, then i'd get a wired system with dvr. i bought the set of 3 here for $50 for my parents since it's a good starting camera with free storage. (hopefully it's still free anyway)

the xt2 is what was being sold here i believe which are the upgraded ones. they look just like the original xt ones.

I have several XT2 cameras I bought brand new via Amazon, and they came in shrink-wrapped boxes.

The 3 pack I bought in this deal came in a sticker sealed box, and at first glance they looked new, but upon closer inspection there was lots of light scratches on the sync module and glossy black area on front of cameras.

They had the new factory stickers and new mounting hardware and batteries.


I don't believe these are new. They just did a pretty darn good refurbishment/repackaging job. Can't complain; I'd rate these better than the acceptable condition I purchased them as.
