Five year warranty is also oustanding. I happen to live not terribly far from the company's Braselton, GA warehouse/service center. I've had two tools worked on there; they don't even ask for receipt. If the mfr date on the tool is within five years, they fix it.

Also they have a 5-tool set with 2 multi-volt batts discounted to $350 at some stores limited available. This is listed at $500 elsewhere online.
Is HPT really downhill from Hitachi? The tools I am seeing them release seem like updated/refreshed versions and it wouldn't make since to buy the company and then ditch existing manufacture facilities / supply contracts all together. And I think Hikoki has a good rep..

I'm not buying the 5-year warranty here - wouldn't be the 1st time Amazon is wrong on a description. But for $29, who can complain if it works beyond the 1 year warranty period anyway?
I have to cancel the tool
I assume I have to wait until the tool shipped and hopefully the battery pack is OOS so I can really " cancel it"
