Please be aware - these xfinity comcast speeds are not guaranteed, read the fine print, after paying for gigabit speeds for 2 yrs realized it never came even close, we were getting only 250 mbps I tried different routers.
Also if you have many in the neighborhood on Xfinity, it slows you down.
Lastly, when we went past 1 TB we got an additional bill saying we used too much, this happened for two months and I switched.
Although their Customer Service is much better than ATT
From the detailed terms posted on Xfinity's offer page, which is also included in the OP:
Discount will appear on your Internet bill within 30 days of Xfinity Mobile activation. Must keep Xfinity Mobile and Extreme Internet service for 24 months to receive $30/mo. discount. If either Xfinity Mobile or Extreme Internet are cancelled, or Extreme Internet is downgraded within 24 months, you will no longer receive the Xfinity Mobile discount.
I signed up for this deal on November 2 and added a Xfinity Mobile line on November 3. The discount is already showing up on my account.
At the landing page, I saw the banner of 6x speed for the same price (i.e. 300 Mbps for 19.99/mon). But when I went to select plan, I saw 19.99 for 50Mbps plan, but 49.99 for 300Mbps, even I went to check out to the last step, I didn't see any confirmation of $30 mobile credit. Should I choose the 50Mbps plan or the 300 Mbps plan?

Internet in this country is ridiculous, you pay more money for lesser speeds. Other countries give better speeds at better prices. Then on top of that you only have one company to choose from with decent internet speeds.. Smh!
It could be area specific on how updated their network is. There's areas around me still on 30+ year old coax cable and 50Mb is the fastest they can get. They're people that were forced over from the Time Warner merger and Comcast.Xfinity doesnt give a crap about them. And then we have areas that were so unreliable, the schools were scrambling for LTE hotspots so kids could stay in virtual classes all day instead of dropping off or buffering most of the time.
I signed up for this last week they installed it today, I'm still waiting on them to send me the SIM so I can port in a number. Do I need to enter in any promo code when activating the mobile line? Or will just porting in a number for 90 days automatically do it? I do have original contact and the promo does show up there.
Prices vary by location but no one seems to be mentioning the terms of this deal OP mentioned with some of the finer details for the 50 mbps plan.
First, the $19.99/mo deal applies the automatic bill pay discount already ($10 off) to get to $19.99. The actual 50 mbps plan is $29.99 otherwise. This price only applies to year 1. Year 2 the price goes up to $34.99 (with the automatic bill pay discount). In year 3 the 50 mbps is a whopping $50/mo (with the automatic bill pay) discount which seems like robbery.
Second you get another $10/mo off if you have xfinity mobile with the internet plan so you can subtract $10 from above.
So while yes they lure you in on the $200 prepaid per phone, and those first 2 years are gonna be awesome, they are going to bone you hard at 3 year when you have your phone stuck on them and they start charging you $50/mo for 50mbps.
At that point you are going to be calling in every year or two trying to renew the promotional rate you received previously to not get screwed from excessive costs on the internet plan which is typical Comcast abuse.
With that said this plan works for my wife and I. It'd save us about $30/mo. And the prepaid discounts make it a win where the first 2 years costs us nothing. Gets us a second internet line as a backup (which I wanted before but their cheapest plan was like $45/mo), gets us on Verizon, which where I live in the mountains, is a necessity for decent service since they have the only tower near us.

That's interesting, I've always had TERRIBLE customer service with Comcast and have had a good experience with AT&T
I'd still rather continue paying $40 for Fios 300 over Xfinity 600 @ $20.
This is the only correct answer. No stupid intro rates, no contracts, far more stable connection, great upload speed, $40 flat. Why you'd ever go with a crappy service like Comcast if you have the option not to is beyond me.

Does Xfinity have fiber optic cable? I used Xfinity back 3 years ago and they were horrible with constant outages. I currently use AT&t fiber and they have been very reliable.
