It is not. Typically when you see LPDDR4x being used its soldered.

yes. the stock SSD is one of those mini M2s, but the laptop can take a standard sized 80mm ssd.

The 16GB RAM version is only with i7 processor and 512GB SSD. That's why the huge price increase.

Really good machine at $639.
But NOT a touch display if that's important for you.

Also, be aware it's the 13.3" XPS 13, NOT the 13.4" XPS 13.
They have very different physical designs.
Learn about the differences if you don't know.
