I have an older xelsis it's pretty awesome to have it programmed to turn on by itself every morning.

If your stopping at the coffee house every morning do the math this will pay for itself. .08-.12 cents per cup of coffe thru this vs $.35 for kurieg!!!?

It has a water tank so you don't have to plumb it.

Just like you fill a water kettle you can fill in the tank Smilie

I've been shopping for a high end one touch espresso machine. Been looking at the Gaggia Magenta Prestige and the Delonghi Dimanica Plus.

How this model looks really nice too. Any input to which one to get?

I just bought the Philips 4300- what advantages does this machine have over that?

I bought one for $1700 after 15% coupon code a month ago. I love it. Bummed that I spent $400 more than I could have got it for now!

Made in Italy, color touchscreen, higher end look, more pre-programmed drinks, apparently better microfoam. It does have a bigger footprint which is a con. I was going to wait on a Philips 5400 from Williams Sonoma but got the Xelsis instead (for $1700) and don't regret it.

How does this compare to a Jura E8. I have only ever had Jura products but I am willing to invest of this is a good deal.

After I moved away and no longer have a Jura my Keurig from college is NOT making the cut.

Thanks OP! I was going to get the Gaggia Magenta Prestige after missing out on the CostCo Jura ENA8 deal. This is much better.

One Question: the newsletter signup generates a 15% code that cannot be combined with the sale offer. How do you get the 20% that does?

I have a bunch of 25% off codes (for being a first responder) which would save you additional $80. Willing to exchange for $10 Amazon GC. PM me.

Try price adjustment request, or if within return period, rebuy and return the new box on the old order number.

We have this exact machine and love it. It's been a life saver while working from home. It is also great for entertaining guests who want something with milk.

Philips won't adjust price. Also one day past return period..

Wanted to add, I am a coffee noob who was looking for a gift for my Biggby cappuccino loving wife.

This super-auto is great. It's fool-proof and fast. We don't have time to fool around with semi-autos. Admittedly, I don't know jack about coffee, but I think the espresso is delicious (Lavazza Gran Riserva beans on '2' grinder setting). The milk drinks are great also, and my wife doesn't have to go out for coffee anymore. One month in, and I have picked up a serious coffee addiction. It's kind of like safe, delicious, legal cocaine.
