It was cool when you could snap it down to open it and then snap your fingers to light it, every chick in the bar was walking over to you. Of course, that was 35 years ago when smoking was still cool. I kinda miss it

I was wondering if these types of lighters are better than the Bic types when camping etc. I know a lady who had a Bic that explode just sitting on a shelf so I never trusted having them around after that. Bic did pay the woman for a new kitchen

Back in the day, we would hold up our Zipp lighters at a concert. Great for lighting bbq grill charcoal, candles, and the big one is it always goes in my backpack when camping or backpacking.

We all warned my great uncle to quit his pack a day habit, but he didn't listen and died at 90yo when fishing. Maybe it was his drinking everyday too..lol. Guy was amazing in that he walked a few miles every day. Good genes for sure. My aunt got covid at 80yo and was sick for 5 days. Day 6 she ate a cheeseburger, fries, a coke after just drinking liquids when sick. She's too ornery for covid.

As a Zippo collector I can confirm the quality and fallen off the table the last 8-10 years or so. It's hard to get a quality Zippo under $75 and then it's a crapshoot unless you know where to buy. Also buying vintage models off eBay will bring far better quality.

That's said for everyday usage, these are probably adequate for a few years use, just not up to the legendary Zippo lifetime quality from the past.

Ordered the pipe Zippo. As many reviews complained, I received a standard Zippo. Returned it for a replacement and received ANOTHER wrong Zippo. Their warehouse clearly has these labelled incorrectly (two stickers on box). Amazon wouldn't let me try a 3rd time so sucks for me I guess.
