It's HONEY. It's pure sugar that's its purpose.

Local honey 🍯 is the only way to go. As a cheap SOB it pains me to say it but pay more for local honey. Much of the store bought stuff is not pure.

I know Nates and Apiterra are mostly syrup. They separate after a while. Costco brand seems mostly real. Amazon brand you can tell by the price its highly filtered syrup.
I've been using Nature Nate's honey for awhile now and have never had one seperate yet.

I just picked up some raw unfiltered honey from Costco (Kirkland brand) and it is 100% honey and made in the USA. 3lbs = $9.79, so this seems like a better deal, but I think I trust Costco more than Amazon. Smilie

It says "Product of Argentina, Canada & USA" in the back label photo.
I read somewhere that Argentina gets honey from China.

Raw honey only has benefits of it's local. Good price for generic honey but won't have the same benefits.
My doctor says that the "local" honey benefits are a myth. Like how it supposedly helps with allergies.

Have you actually ever tried it? I have and know others that have as well. Your doctor is wrong.

Would caution about buying honey in a plastic container as the plastic over time will leach into the honey.

Not surprised. It's just one of the marketing tactics.

Read the article.

"Pollen from weeds, trees, and grasses is the leading cause of seasonal allergies. Wind usually whips the yellowy dust from these plants into the air.

Bees, which make honey, tend to pick up pollen from brightly colored flowers. Pollen from these blooms rarely causes allergies."

"... it (unprocessed, unfiltered honey) can have some pretty nasty stuff in it, from bee parts to mold spores and bacteria. These things are usually removed during commercial processing."

The article means nothing. I asked you a pretty easy question.

I have. My family raised bees, I know one of the prominent local apiaries (and he supplies queens to most of the state). To me it has made no difference whether I use or don't use honey.

I am a beekeeper, if you are buying 1 pound of honey for less than 8$ then there is something going on with that honey. Boddle itself 1$.

Everyone is different. It certainly doesn't work for everyone. It works very well for me.

BTW....I have friends who are beekeepers and process their own honey.
