It's HONEY. It's pure sugar that's its purpose.
Local honey 🍯 is the only way to go. As a cheap SOB it pains me to say it but pay more for local honey. Much of the store bought stuff is not pure.

I am a beekeeper, if you are buying 1 pound of honey for less than 8$ then there is something going on with that honey. Boddle itself 1$.

I have. My family raised bees, I know one of the prominent local apiaries (and he supplies queens to most of the state). To me it has made no difference whether I use or don't use honey.
Everyone is different. It certainly doesn't work for everyone. It works very well for me.

BTW....I have friends who are beekeepers and process their own honey.

Anyone know if it is American honey or import from places where they indiscriminately give antibiotics to bees?

The USA give antibiotics to bees just as much as any other country; so unless you're a bee keeper yourself and closely monitoring production with your own eyes; don't be so easily convinced just because it says USA it's organic.

You can't sell syrup marketed as 100% raw pure honey. I'm sure Amazon of all companies knows this. The fines and PR would be astronomical. You're talking about "honey sauce" like they have at KFC or the Chinese honey scandal where they were selling rice syrup mixed with honey. Do your homework. Very irresponsible and potentially libelous comment.

Farm subsidies. Just like $1 per dozen eggs and $2/lb. cheese. Also much of the honey comes from Argentina where production costs are lower.

I ordered 3, arriving dec.1.
I don't know what to make of this, but carbs for this product is 17g and sugar is 17g, whereas every other honey brand I've checked, had a lesser amount of sugar.. Nate brand having only 13 g of sugar. I wonder if that means the Amazon brand isn't real and has corn syrup added to it.

I read somewhere that Argentina gets honey from China.

China doesn't have enough bees. In rural China, humans pollinate flowers by hand. In parts of rural China, humans are doing the work bees once did. ... But in some parts of China, hand pollination can actually cost less than renting bees to pollinate crops. Farmers in Hanyuan began pollinating by hand because human labor was cheap

I just picked up some raw unfiltered honey from Costco (Kirkland brand) and it is 100% honey and made in the USA. 3lbs = $9.79, so this seems like a better deal, but I think I trust Costco more than Amazon. Smilie
I'm passing on this deal for the same reason. If you scale Kirkland down to 2 lb, it would come out ~$6.50. I'm willing to pay $1.50 for a brand I trust more.

My "local" honey store at farmer market raise price from $10 to $13, and all the time at the bottom of the bottle are thick chunk of sugar
All pure honey will crystalize over time. The reason why for don't see it like that in the stores is because most of them aren't pure.

Hot water bath will turn it clear again. Never microwave or boil it!

A crock pot works great for doing a few jars at a time. I get about 80 lbs of honey a year from my hives and it sells quick, but I always keep a few for myself.

Why? It obviously doesn't apply to my or the experience of others and frankly I don't give a flying crap about what something you found on the all knowing internet has to say. I know for a FACT that it helped me get off of all allergy medications as well as the monthly shots I would get from April to October.
