Same. Is there a specific month when sales happens?

Looking at FP deals, they usually happen in June and Nov/Dec.

Same! Been eyeing this for a while and regret not jumping in when it was on sale ~$440 a couple months ago. Just to make sure - can the 920+ serve 4k movies to TVs in your house (chromecast, apple tv, plex etc), and also serve torrents? How much extra RAM should I get?

Hoping for the 1821+ to go on sale. The 1819+ did 2 years ago for BF. I stocked up on $170 14 GB WD Easystores from Best Buy just in case.

920+ is good for Plex or other apps that can take advantage of Intel Quicksync on the CPU. For 4k though, you'll really need an endpoint that's capable of direct play. There are few, if any, NAS devices that can transcode 4k down to 1080p without stuttering/freezing playback. If that's needed, many people move Plex over to an Intel NUC (preferably 8th gen with it's excellent GPU)

Do you know which endpoints are good for direct play with Plex? Prefer if built into the TV (Samsung TV, Vizio etc) because my parents can't figure out how to switch inputs. Thanks!!

I am also waiting for 1821+ or 1819+. If it is not available this year. Maybe I will consider QNAP TS-932PX-4G.

Nvidia Shield is king of the hill for direct play.
