Thinking of getting this for a present for a family member but I have the brushed version and these 1.5's just don't cut it. Unless I'm missing something and paired with brushless they are that much better.

Wait, so it doesn't include HP batteries? Even so it's not a bad price if you are already in the Ryobi ecosystem, keeping in mind it's not too far off from the bigger brands' kits best deals on here that contain (arguably) slightly more reliable designs.

If someone who happens to have Ryobi brushed and brushless could weigh in on whether an HP brushless tool on a standard (non-HP) battery is stronger or weaker than a brushed tool--it would be very interesting to know.

I'm actually a big fan of my Ryobi tools for the price and lower-stress having used Makita, Milwaukee, Snap-on, and Dewalt in the past.

I have used both brushed and brushless compact. (Drill, driver, saw variations).

Can't speak to the battery question, I don't use the tools regularly enough.

Size difference is night and day. That alone for basic homeowner diy stuff is totally worth it.

Sadly I have the drill/driver already otherwise id be all over this at approx 60 bucks a tool (excluding batteries and flash light)

This is great value on its own but as others said you probably want better batteries, so if you can find another 2-4.0battery+charger+freetool combo deal to go with this, you're sitting pretty.

This might be better deal if you want more brushless tools. 320 for 6 tools if you return the bonus free sprayer for 80. None of the tools are a flashlight, so ur getting 2 more brushless tools for 50 more.

Damn I knew I saw this at a lower price but couldn't find it again! It's back up to $400.

I picked up this set at Home Depot today (Black Friday). Shelf price/sign said $269 and the online only deal with a free static sprayer was Out of Stock. Decided to go brushless over the 6-tool $199 set.

When checking out, it rang up for $249. Brickseek for the store showed $269. I also picked up the $20 inflator. It does show a NLP (New lower price) savings line item of $20 for the combo set.

Not sure if it was a unadvertised door buster or something else. Looking forward to using the set.
