I got the 32GB kit when they were last on sale for a budget build I was doing and they worked fantastic. I have not had any issues to this day on a Ryzen 5600g build that I worked on. Absolute steal for this price and 16 GB of RAM.

It's been MANY years since I purchased memory. How can I be sure this will work to expand my current desktop (https://dl.dell.com/topicspdf/ali..._en-us.pdf) from 2x8 (16gb) to 4x8 (32gb) by purchasing this?

Just buy long known brands. RAM is not something worth cheaping out on. Peripherals? Sure. Heatsinks, ram, ssd? Hell no. For what, 20 bucks difference? Slick headache fwiw

But why not...RAM failures are rare, and performance barely changes much between parts costing 2x as much. Spend more on larger capacity dimms, sure. However, brand shopping is spending more to get the same result.
