Just picked up a used amazon warehouse for $530. $170 less makes a difference. Great deal!

I don't think this is an all time low. My buddy picked up this kit on prime day 2021 for the same price

That said. I understand that at this price it's a good deal

Whats the main reason to get this versus a used apsc camera? I have heard that panasonic af is not very good.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

As others are mentioning, it was this price for Prime Day in June. it was actually slightly cheaper then because Amazon had a $70 credit with $500 of purchases, so came out to more like $630. I actually bought it then but eventually returned it in favor of a Sony APSC camera.

This can do unlimited 4k without overheating, the lenses are generally a fair bit cheaper, the body itself is cheaper, this camera has image stabilization, is weather sealed, and it has a nicely built body with a fully articulating touchscreen / easy to navigate menus. m43 cameras like this one are also generally smaller and lighter, and the lenses are also smaller and lighter, so this could be a great travel camera.

That said, I'd probably get something like the ZV-E10 over this, unless you really need the viewfinder. I'd also probably go with a used a6100 over this for my use case, which is primarily video streaming. The APSCs have some nice advantages too, especially the autofocus

Are these better than those years when Canon kept having those T7i sales after rebate. Should I wait for a Canon deal again although I haven't seen those in three years.

APS-C sensor > Four-thirds sensor
Sony AF > Panasonic AF
Not sure why would anyone buy this at this price point.

I think this is better than the G85 and I remember really liking that, but I sold that for a G9.

Think of a camera like a car chassis, which everything gets built upon. If your chassis is shit, the rest of material will be similar. A camera is a long time investment and I suggest opting for a full frame camera over this as you're limiting your capabilities long term trading these critical close ups and capturing critical images which a full frame lenses allow. If the image sensor is tiny, your shot will be limited with the amount of light it would allow to pass through. The size of the sensor here is 225mm^2 vs 864mm^2 on a full frame. You're limiting yourself with focusing speed and ability, crop factor as well as the battery life. I can go on for a while, but all are huge tradeoffs. Of course the size is much smaller and that could be a winning deal for many. Personally, I wouldn't get this camera...

In photography, it is not about "who has it bigger". There are a lot of things in favor of M43 and ASPC systems, but skill is the most important factor no matter the sensor.

Dont be fooled by marketing saying you can not take great images or video because the sensor is not FF.

I have a Fuji XT200 and two Olympus M5 Mark II. The 2015s Olympus being better SOOC than my 2020s Fujifilm.

I got this camera, but from BHPhotoVideo, in Amazon it was OoS
