Just don't turn on the Multi User experimental feature in settings. In the latest firmware v34, it is now giving you an error when you try to run the same app at the same time on a single account. Even for games that explicitly allow you to do this.

Hope they fix it as for now it has ruined my 4-player Walkabout Mini Golf plans. We're already done it before, but v34 will break it if you turn on that setting, even once, and then turn it off again.

If you use a referral link before ordering (can order via any retailer) you'll get a $30 Oculus store credit brining down your effective price further. I've done this with a few friends and it worked. Def recommend going this route.
How would one so this from Best buy? That would be great though, so basically you end up with 80 bucks.

Yeah. Seriously awesome. Seems like you activate your account from the referral link, then when you activate your headset with that account it credits you the $30. I know it worked for a friend of mine because I also got the $30 credit though I'm not sure exactly how he bought his.

I saw that disclaimer. Though in my account, the program shows as being extended until 12/31. Probably just inconsistent copy.

I don't know anything about these VR headsets but my son wants one for Christmas. Should I buy the 128 or 256? Are the games all downloaded into the headset? Costco has the 256 with a carrying case of Costco warranty for $399.
I'm not sure 256gb is necessary unless he's downloading a lot of content, which gets expensive. I typically use mine when it's connected to my PC, which improves the graphics for many of the applications. The strap on the headset is pretty uncomfortable and the battery dies pretty quickly, so I think the upgraded headstrap and extra battery (which sells for $130) is more necessary than the extra storage. Sam's Club sells the 128gb version with elite strap and extra battery and carrying case for $379. You can also get a reasonably priced extended warranty from Sam's Club or Walmart, which I didn't see available at Costco (the extended warranty from Best Buy is outrageously expensive). If you happen to have a Costco credit card it will add an extra 2 years to the extended warranty (I have 5 years of warranty by using the Costco card and purchasing an extended through Sam's Club). I'm not sure if this falls under Costco's 90 day return window like most electronics or whether it's lifetime, but either way I doubt it will last 5 years with a lot of usage. Just something else to consider. I don't think it's worth the extra $100 for more storage, but the strap and carrying case is almost necessary IMO.

I believe you need a long ass type c cable.

Their oem cable is like $75
The OEM cable is crazy expensive and none of my type C cables I had would work (aside from a 3ft cable that came with an expensive Sony camera). I don't anticipate the cable lasting very long as it gets yanked little by little when it's used so I got the extended warranty through Walmart, which I suspect needing to use eventually. But yes, just getting the right USB-C cable is an investment on its own.

They're making it for you don't need a Facebook account anymore. I guess he knew how shady he looked trying to make money serving ads to people in VR
