Hey guys, so this takes a few steps but I promise it will be worth it.
GameStop is having a sale on $20 Xbox gift cards ($18) that can be redeemed at the Microsoft Store:
https://www.gamestop.com/gift-cards/gaming-gift-cards/products/xbox-gift-card-20/532020.html [gamestop.com]
Once that has been processed, you can redeem the gift cards at the microsoft store; fastest way of doing this is going to the redeem microsoft website:
https://redeem.microsoft.com/ [microsoft.com]
Once the credit has been redeemed, you can add the controller to cart, shipping included.
https://www.xbox.com/en-us/access...r-series-2
This is a good alternative to those of you that stocked up on gamestop credit.

Just know this is a huge issue with the controller, so much so that they had to increase the warranty of the controller. https://www.theverge.co
Go onto reddit or other socials and you will find many posts from people who say their controller broke. Even old sd threads. I said my piece and not gonna convince you any more, it's your money not mine.

Feel? Amazing
Features? Great
Reliability? Terrible ime
I bought one of these at launch and I'm pretty sure I've exchanged it 7 times and the only reason I have my current one is they stopped letting me exchange it. I'd have to count the number of controller cases to verify. The buttons are just flaky and don't respond well with no coherent consistency from unit to unit. Sometimes it's the A button or Y button. Sometimes it's a shoulder bumper. Sometimes it'll register 2 in rapid succession and others it won't register anything at all.
I can use game pad input testers to verify that even if I'm just holding my thumb on the button having the issue, it will just periodically stop registering that I'm holding it.
This is all plugged in via USB on a pc and I've updated the firmware. Sometimes the issue is immediately apparent, and sometimes it pops up over a period of time.
Others say they don't experience it, and maybe they don't, but my suspicion is that either they just aren't playing a game that is fast enough to notice, or don't play at a level where it's relevant.
My favorite game is Rocket League for example, and input actions are rapid and need to be both precise and consistent. This is the only controller where I will randomly not have the jump go off, or sporadically executes two jumps in an inhumanly short period. My DS4 controllers don't have an issue, my regular Xbox one controllers don't either.
But I still use this one because the hand feel is really my favorite. Maybe someone will educate me on a feature of this controller that I just don't know about and will fix my button issues.
Anyway, if you're not trying to compete at the top 0.01% level of a very fast paced game, then I definitely recommend this controller. Maybe it's just me as well. Who knows. Just my 2 cents.
I've had mine for almost 2 years and it still works the same.
