I am professional audio and video specialist. Weather conditions will effect your tv,regardless covered or not. Get ready for lot's of service calls. I suggest you to build case just let screen exposed. You will have better chance hopefully. Good luck.

Bought this for my office, for late-night TV viewing without waking up the kids. I ran the vegetable video, and mine has very minimal blooming. I compared it with my other two (much more expensive) TVs, and I don't see any differences in blooming worth mentioning. Certainly, nothing like the other guy's posted photos. I did tweak a few settings on the U6GR5: turned the brightness to normal, changed to color balance a bit to get rid of a bit of the green, and changed the contrast a little. The colors are good and the blacks too. I'm pretty happy with it. I have a fancy color calibrator that I use on all my TVs and monitors to make sure they look as good as possible. I haven't run it on this TV yet, but I'm not sure I even need to, since it looks good enough as-is.

I just picked one up on Monday, the 90 day return policy made me feel more comfortable doing so. After having the TV a couple days, I don't have any desire to return it. Picture quality (from my very unprofessional opinion) is beautiful and colors seem punchy but realistic after some calibration. I have some hesitation around the brand and was hoping for 120hz, but this tv checked all the other boxes at a great price and so far so good.

Hmmm… As a secondary TV, I purchased a 50" TCL Series 5 QLED from Walmart [walmart.com] for $298. Trying to decide if this is a better TV for that purpose for $150 more.

I got this delivered recently. It seems to be having issues with screen mirroring from iPhone. Not sure if the feature is built in. I have another Roku TV (TCL 5 series) that works with screen mirroring. Anyone having similar experience?

Just a thought...have you check to see if there's any firmware updates?

Yes I tried all steps given on Roku website. This Roku tv model number is Gxxx and I have doubts if this model is supported by Roku for screen mirroring

Just picked up from my local warehouse. Saw at least 4 more in stock in East Lansing, MI.

IF you can actually comprehend simple English you'd know that this is not U6G which is motion rate 120Hz --> 60Hz and U6GR is Motion rate 240Hz --> 120 Hz. It's not rocket science
Actually... both the U6GR and the U6G are native 60Hz panels with "motion rate 240".

ug6r is only 60hz, your archaic babble seems like you think it's 120hz

Awesome! Just picked one up and the $50 off essentially paid for the Costco membership Wink Plan on using this for an outdoor TV (under deck and covered)
I'm neither a professional audio, nor a video specialist, but had similar concerns when I placed my now 6 year old tv under covered area. I've had good luck with longevity, as have my neighbors. Again, I am not an audio or a specialist though...
