I have the 1080p battery video doorbell. The picture at night is excellent (we only need our immediate porch covered so about 10-12'). Daytime also excellent.
Advantage over most other systems is local video storage versus a monthly fee.
16 GB of storage for the video doorbell sounds insufficient for practical use. Lock looks decent though. Anyone have experience with these vs Ring video doorbells?

Why's the lock black and the doorbell white? Shouldn't there be an option to have both the same color?
Base is remote, attached by ethernet to a router so you hide it wherever you hide your router and it communicates wirelessly. Color doesn't matter, then, as they aren't near each other to match. This is what saves your videos and communicated with your phone to notify you and replay videos, etc. Think of it like a WIFI DVR for the doorbell camera, notification system.

I was referring to the actual doorbell, not the base.

But the actual doorbell you see on the outside is still white while the door lock is black.

I have the 2k wired one (black) using it for 1 year now ... absolutely flawless, i switched from Ring pro (paid subscription for cloud storage) and going to eufy no sub fees is amazing ... though the alerts could be annoying like if a leaf moves in the front yard it will detect motion so you have to tinker with the notification settings to fit you needs, but for me after messing with the settings for a bit its been working amazing !!! i have all eufy cams and doorbell couldn't be a happier individual.
I have a manual lock and this is the first time I am exploring this. With these smart door locks, how can I get the same type of locks (front and back) connected to the same base? Do I need to get two of them with two bases or I can get two locks with one base?

The smart lock does not need a base. I have this in silver and it works pretty well. You just sync it up to your network and use the app to monitor lock/unlock if needed. Fingerprint reader has been a great convenience to not have to fiddle with keys or inputting code on the touchpad.
The base is only for anything that records video with eufy products like doorbell or cameras (although some Eufy cameras are not compatible with the homebase). I believe base has a max limit of cameras it can support. You would then need to purchase another homebase for more devices.
