Welcome to the 6th annual Slickdeals NFL Survival Pool!
EDIT: We are having a slight issue with Paypal payments. For some reason, Paypal is taking 45 cents out of some of the payments. It looks like payments must be listed as a "gift" to avoid fees.
I can't believe we've been doing this for 6 years now. Time flies.
Registration is now open. PM me for my non-CC Paypal address. As soon as I get your $5, I will send you the league name and password.

Here are the rules:
Anyone is welcome to play. Buy in is $5 per person. Winner takes all. We will be using Yahoo Survival to track picks. This is a straight pick the winner pool, no spread. In past years, we have had about 30-35 players. So, winner can take home around $150.
Non-credit card Paypal will be used to collect the money. Winner will get the lump sum at the end of the season to his/her Paypal address. If you insist on using a credit card, you pay the fees. They are usually about $.75 per $5. Yeah, I know. Paypal is a bunch of thieves. Let me know if this is the case since it's a different email address.
You will NOT get the league ID and password until I have your money.
Starting in week 1, you choose an NFL team to win that week. If you win, you carry on to the next week. If you are wrong, well, there's always next year. So, do your research.
You can never choose the same team again.
In case of a week where everyone goes down: This is usually most possible in the mid to late weeks. As long as all players lose, everyone is re-entered automatically for the next week.
If we have a tie at the end of the final regular season game, the money is split among the people left. However, if there are 2 people left at the end, they both may agree on going to week 1 of the playoffs for a winner takes all championship. This will be a game of my choosing unless I am in the game. In that case, someone who went out in the early weeks gets to choose.
When you should have picks in: I don't have the time to chase people down. Yahoo will send you an email reminder and I will post in this thread to remind people. Picks must be in 5 minutes before the first game of the week. So, make sure to pay attention to Thursday and Saturday games. Those tend to screw people over. Someone always forgets. There is no forgiveness for forgetting. That wouldn't be fair to the others. Not choosing is the same as losing.

i'd still see 5-6 wins out of them. the division all has issues. averaging a split won't be out of the question, lucky bounce in a few of the iffy teams like jets/miami .. at least you can get a dominate dt next year in the draft. there's a few of them.

but point taken.. they haven't had a real solution at there. they'll have to gamble through the draft, or pluck a schaub type. people like rivers or even the overrated eli will never get to the open market. my bigger worry with them is the d needs to revamp.. barber's on the downside, ruud's a stud. outside that, they don't have any established others. just a few with upside like gaines adams.. but no nfl success. i think losing monte kiffin is going to hurt more than gruden.
