As someone who has a pixel 6 Pro, I highly recommend just getting the 6. It's so much cheaper and the Pro has no features that are worth the pricetag over the non pro. If I could do it again, I'd get the pixel 6.

The phone is big on the hands and quite heavy. Be warned. You'll end up missing smaller phone size of 5.7to 6.2 inch screens

Nova launcher is immensely customizable, and I can't recommend it enough. You can move the stock Pixel launcher elements wherever you want, among MANY other options.

Anyone have this on AT&T? Any issues with 5G, and do all bands work with AT&T?
I believe the 6 and 6 pro have different levels of 5g capabilities. 6 pro supposedly has the full 5g spectrum and the regular 6 has only the "limited" version of 5g. Don't quote me. Dyor

I saw the pixel 6 for 550 in store a few weeks ago. You can probably get it price matched

Pixel 6 on screen fingerprint reader is kind of finky for some. It takes half a second to unlock at times which is super annoying.
Not sure if it's been tried but with my S20, I ended up registering the most use fingerprints twice which helped with picking up my unlocks

According to Google docs here: https://support.google.com/pixelp...8570?hl=en

The U.S. models are identical in cellular capability. The International variants are missing mmWave support, which might be irrelevant in the short term but important later for domestic coverage in densely populated locations.

Correction, see the insane compatibility table here: https://support.google.com/pixelp...r/10082009

Apparently the cheapest variant of the regular 6 does not have mmWave capability.

p6 uses optical fingerprint sensor wherever s20 uses ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

You'd save more buying from Target with a Red Card, as 5% of 550 is $27.50 in further savings.

Not surprised. When I heard Google "made" the processor I was a skeptic. They never make their own products
Wait till you hear who makes your cars ECU, or who makes Teslas batteries, or who makes Nikons/Panasonics/Olympus's camera sensors, or Apples chips.

In this case, Samsung's semiconductor manufacturing is pretty far separated from its mobile division.

Remember tablets were 7 inches? We are almost taking a tablet in our pockets... 6.2 in is my maximum, and hard to find unfortunately.
Tbf bezels made up a decent part of the device, but I agree going over 6" gets questionable fast. (I know, that is what she said…or not)

That's true for a lot of companies. Most companies contract their production with other companies who runs manufacturing plants

Android 12 makes simple tasks an absolute chore. Simply toggling wifi requires additional button pressing, clearing apps require you to swipe them one by one, unlocking phone with 4 digit pass requires you to press enter. Also on screen fingerprint scanner is trash. Don't even think about putting a screen protector, it'll render it useless
I had the same complaints. I reverted back to 11 but I was lucky because I had just got the phone and decided to upgrade immediately. But I was a lot happier with the 11 interface

I tried Nova launcher but there was more about 12 I couldn't stand so I just reverted. I guess sooner or later I will upgrade and maybe by then Google makes the complaints fixable via standard options
