As someone who has a pixel 6 Pro, I highly recommend just getting the 6. It's so much cheaper and the Pro has no features that are worth the pricetag over the non pro. If I could do it again, I'd get the pixel 6.

The phone is big on the hands and quite heavy. Be warned. You'll end up missing smaller phone size of 5.7to 6.2 inch screens

Nova launcher is immensely customizable, and I can't recommend it enough. You can move the stock Pixel launcher elements wherever you want, among MANY other options.

Bought a Pixel 6 and returned it and went back to my 4a 5G. Pros of the 4a 5G are unlimited high quality photo storage with google photos, the fingerprint reader on the back is way better, the phone feels better in hand, and it didn't feel like a huge difference performance wise going to the 6 compared to the 4a 5g. Also the photos out of the front and rear cameras looked better to me on the 4a 5g compared to the 6.

As a former Google fan boy, and after going through Google support more that I would like. The most important lesson I learned is to always buy a Google device directly from Google store. If you get a device directly from Google, Google support will ship you a new warranty device first and then allow you to ship back the broken device.

So, the Pixel 5a for $399, or the Pixel 6 for $549? Pros and cons anyone?
If battery life is extremely important to you, the Pixel 5a is an absolute beast. The 5a, I believe, is bit less bulky than the 6. And it's likely going to be $200 less. But in every other way, the Pixel 6 will be more advanced.

Google already said it has heightened security. So it takes longer
That's absurd. A fingerprint reader is not going to take longer to process because of that. Not to mention, they have a dedicated hardware solution with the Tensor SoC.

My understanding is that the fingerprint reader in the screen sucks, relative to the physical one on the 5a, for example. That's why it takes longer. They should have put a dedicated reader on the back.

Who the hell wants a phone that's been out for less than a month that is beaten up so much in that short time to be considered only fair condition? Not a chance.
