As someone who has a pixel 6 Pro, I highly recommend just getting the 6. It's so much cheaper and the Pro has no features that are worth the pricetag over the non pro. If I could do it again, I'd get the pixel 6.

The phone is big on the hands and quite heavy. Be warned. You'll end up missing smaller phone size of 5.7to 6.2 inch screens

Nova launcher is immensely customizable, and I can't recommend it enough. You can move the stock Pixel launcher elements wherever you want, among MANY other options.

If you get one, get a case before doing anything! This phone is fragile as heck and harder to hold than a greased piece of glass! Can't tell you how many times it slid out of my hand before getting a case. Sit it on any surface that's not perfectly level you risk it sliding. I don't like that the finger print reader sucks! Every time I swipe it bring down the top menu, the list goes on. I'm sorry I ever bought this phone!
That swipe issue sounds like a setting. I only get the top menu if I start from the very top. That is difficult to do because of the aforementioned size of the phone.

How's that? I got the preorder for 500 due to the out of stock pixel buds, but wouldn't mind saving more.
Got that same $100 for the buds, 5% redcard, 5% coupon, $20 for week late delivery and $50 bf price match.

Thanks for the heads-up! That'd make it extra slick. Struck out with the first chat rep, saying I had to wait and check back when the sale was live. I'll try again.

From what i have read so far, it's less about accuracy (which can be negated using your suggestion of registering same fingerprint twice) and more about the speed. The fingerprint scanner is slow and takes time to scan and unlock. They are using optical scanner (relatively slower) as opposed to ultrasonic ones that Samsung and some other oems used, which are noticeably faster. So, it's a hardware limitation.

But that's not to say that this is A LOT of phone for $549 and nothing in market beats it in terms of value. People need to take a step back and stop asking for absolute best of everything in their phone that they don't even need or use. This phone is flagship for majority of users considering their usage. People just don't realize that and keep comparing it to $1000 phone which may have one or two things better than this. This phone will shake up the industry as no mid range phones can be worse than this given the price.
It's also accuracy issue. How do I know? I own one and typing on it right now. It's weird because my left thumb scans much better than my right. Also oddly enough if I warm up the fingerprint area with my breath, it reads my prints much better. And no, redoing the fingerprint registration does not help at all.

$150 for 2 years, or a 2 year extended warranty for free. I'll take the later. but I know not all cards come with extended warranty.

Yes, definitely a heavy boy. Trade-off for a 4,614mAh battery and glass backing. But you get used to the weight fairly quickly.

Con: glass backing and heavy. Higher chance of cracking glass backing from lower drops.
