As someone who has a pixel 6 Pro, I highly recommend just getting the 6. It's so much cheaper and the Pro has no features that are worth the pricetag over the non pro. If I could do it again, I'd get the pixel 6.

The phone is big on the hands and quite heavy. Be warned. You'll end up missing smaller phone size of 5.7to 6.2 inch screens

Nova launcher is immensely customizable, and I can't recommend it enough. You can move the stock Pixel launcher elements wherever you want, among MANY other options.

Felt the same as my P4 XL, which isn't heavy at all IMO and barely bigger.

Pixel 6 on screen fingerprint reader is kind of finky for some. It takes half a second to unlock at times which is super annoying.
They just released an update that speeds it up. It's been working better for me.

I'd rather buy the Pixel 5a instead of the OP8. Pixel 6 has been a nice upgrade from my OP6.

Those buying this, keep a lookout for when calyxos.org becomes available for your new P6. Probably within 1 to 2 months.

If youre not aware this is the leading custom OS for those that prefer privacy, those wanting to degoogle, etc (brings together most the things that make LineageOS and GrapheneOS great).

Ive been rocking a P3 and P4 both with CalyxOS, and I see no reason for ever going back into Googles grip.

Does anybody know about dual SIM with the P6 or p6 pro? I currently have the pixel 5 with two sims, one physical and one esim. The pixel 5 cannot have two sims active at one time. Is anyone know if the P6 or P6 pro still has this limitation?

Remember tablets were 7 inches? We are almost taking a tablet in our pockets... 6.2 in is my maximum, and hard to find unfortunately.
It's basically the same size as previous XL phones. It's still smaller than a Samsung note. The screen is large because it takes up the entire surface of the phone when previous phones had large chins. Similar weight to my 2XL. It's not that big of a difference. All the cons will be negligible once you get used to the phone a week later.

holup - I'd be going from a pixel4 but I see:
  • pixel 4: 444 ppi -- 2280 x 1080 on a 5.7" diagonal
  • pixel 6: 411 ppi -- 1080 x 2400 on a 6.4" diagonal

Do I have that right? People who want phablets will say "oh yeah, get that big display" but I definitely do not want a bigger phone, I like a thing I can hold and operate with one hand. I don't want a bigger phone and don't want a bigger worse display, but pixel6 seems to be. Why might I be wrong with that interpretation?

I've had the original pixel, 2xl, 3xl, 5, 4a 5g, and then the 6. The 5 is too small for me but the 6 is bulky and heavy compared to the 4a 5g which was a great size. The fingerprint scanner is slow and inaccurate at times on the 6 and it's not as convenient to use because you have to wake up the screen first to unlock it. On the 4a 5g and 5 I can pick up the phone anyway and just slide my fingers into the sensor to unlock. I can't do that with the 6 and the issues with the sensor bother me. Also, there is no more free Google Photo storage on the 6. All these reasons combined made me go back to the 4a 5g.

Pros? The 6 is a whole new beast, first processor made by google and finally new camera module. It will take amazing photos and videos.

Cons? Cost more?

Seriously though if anyone was ever in the market for a Pixel this is the one to get hands down. Ill be upgrading even though my 3A is running like new 3 years later.
i've been waiting for the pixel 6 to come out for the almost 6 months now. I did not want to buy it right away when it hit the shelves as I wanted to hear user feedback.
Two major issues we are hearing about:
1. Battery doesn't last more than 6-8 hours
2. Constant drop of 4G signal due to the Samsung modem

I can live with the finger print unlock being a pain. But the above 2 items are what's making me re-consider my purchase.

Would love to hear your perspective.
