I think it applies to anyone buying directly from Mint, or renewing a plan. It's spelled out in their T&C section 10.1

I have my MINT 6 month 4Gb plan up for renewal. Can I buy an extension from Target (no 3 + 3) just to be able to take advantage of the 5% discount or is that not available as a 6 month extension from Target?

Sorry if it's been asked, but is there any good reasons to stay on the "wal-mart" $30($33 month after taxes) plan that had 5gb LTE(high speed) data, unlimited 2g(?) data, 100 minutes calling, unlimited text, instead of switching to Mint?

Besides the benefit that I wouldn't have a minute limit for calls anymore. If it makes any difference the plan I have wasn't actually through Wal-mart, it was directly through T-mobile at the time.
