Not true and now you're open to being sued for defamation/loss of sales for spreading false/misleading information. "The prills, called pellets, are coated with an alkyd-type resin. The semi-permeable coating, which is made from linseed oil, allows some water to get through and start to dissolve the fertilizer inside" took me less time to look it up than it did for you to type your lies

Poly-s is a thermoplastic. While it is considered somewhat more sustainable than other plastics, there are still a lot of people who want to be careful with their consumption.

As a horticulturist, I prefer meal-based fertilizers like NatureSafe which work on building the soil microbiome rather than harm it with excess salts.

I think the barrier for most people to use a product like that would be ease of use. I'm always afraid to burn my plants with these products that simply state their NPK.

How is this a deal when the regular price at Walmart is 13 and is currently selling for 11?

You can naturally fertilize by peeing in a jar and then diluting it with tap water. But your tap water probably has chlorine in it so watch out bad for the soil.

Let me give you an example: there is no Walmart store in NYC; having a 8lbs bag shipped to the doorstep for free is a good deal.
