Vaultek already fixed that last year. Program button is disabled when the box is locked. Vaultek sends replacement parts for those who bought one before February 2020. I have one and love it. For $70, it's a steal.

I bought mine for $100 and been on the fence about returning. I just bought a $25 sentrysafe box that's also fireproof but a bit bigger. Debating on which one to keep.

You can buy now at $70 and return the unopened box with your $100 receipt. $25 sentrysafe sounds really cheaper than Vaultek. I haven't seen the sentry box so I can't comment about it, but this Vaultek looks really cool and I'll keep it for $70 for sure Smilie

Here it is. I'd definitely get a price adjustment if i keep it, but each box has its pros and cons.

I hate how big the sentrysafe is and having to use a physical key, but like that it's fire and waterproof. The vaultek is only waterproof but is convenient, discreet, and small enough to go inside of a backpack.

I saw these in a single row in the middle of the tool isle a few months back. When I went to pick one up today they were now a featured end cap with a large supply. Can't say every store has them, but it seems to be a featured product now.

Ah, $3.80 in gas to maybe find it plus time wasted. Okay online it is.

That was supposedly corrected well over a year ago. Assuming the newest version has the button cover and software to not allow a code change while locked.

Product pictures had a gun, bills, a tile (so it'll ring when you lose it?). What do you think the lady in work-out clothes and on a bike has in her lifepod? Water and a powerbar?

This just seems like such a specialty item.

I don't understand the use case for this. I watched the video but it just has like a cell phone and keys and stuff, why can't you just use a little waterproof bag and if someone's going to steal this thing they're just going to break it open right?

This product is useless to me as well, but I suppose if I kept a gun with me (I don't) while camping or whatever, it could make sense. Someone could still steal it and break it open at home like you say, but I could live with losing a gun. What I wouldn't want is to give someone ready access to it, thief, child, etc.

They fixed that issue and disabled the button when the device is locked
