Verizon Deal Flagship Phones: iPhone 13 Pro, Samsung S21 Ultra, Samsung Fold/Flip up to $1000 trade in and up to $1000 to switch

Verzon is currently running an outstanding promo until 11/17. Many smartphones that are $1000+ MSRP qualify including the iPhone 13 Pro/Max, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, and Samsung Fold/Flip. Other phones such as the Google Pixel 6/pro are also eligible for a slightly lesser trade in value (not to exceed the MSRP of the purchased phone). Something to note is that iPhone 13 Pros appear to be out of stock just about everywhere. However if you place your order within the promotion period you should be eligible for the promotion as it is based on order date, not shipped/received date.

When you start or add a new line on ANY unlimited data plan service plan you qualify for the following trade in promotion applied over 24/30 months via bill credits:

$1000 tier
iPhone 11 Pro/Max, iPhone 12 Pro/Max
Samsung Galaxy Fold/2, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

$800 tier
iPhone X/R, iPhone XS/Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 12/mini
Samsung S9 - S21, Samsung Note 9 - Note 20

Noteworthy points about this promotion:
The trade-in can be a damaged device (cracked screens, dents, defective display, etc.) as long as it turns on and functions and does not have a damaged battery.
Plan eligibility is ANY unlimited plan. Presumably this includes Start Unlimited which is typically excluded from the highest tier promos.

If you switch (port in) from another non Verizon (including VZW MVNO) provider you are also eligible for up to $1000 via prepaid Mastercard to pay off an early termination fee or remaining device payment (you must submit the final bill to Verizon for approval).

See promtion "Get select 5G phones on us."
https://www.verizon.com/deals/

In addition cashback sites are offering $115/$75 per new contract/line.

One way to take advantage of this deal if you are planning to start or add a line on Verizon:
1.) Buy a new phone (via device financing) and start service on another provider (i.e. iPhone 13 Pro on ATT)
2.) Buy your flagship phone of choice and start/add a new Verizon line on any current unlimited data plan and port in from step 1 to "switch" from your "old" service.
3.) Buy a damaged S9 on ebay (can be purchase for $50 - $80) - must have valid and clean MEID (does not have financing attached nor reported lost/stolen)
4.) Trade in damaged S9 for $800 (recommend to do this at a corporate Verizon store, you have up to 30 days after receiving the new phone to execute a trade in) - this is the best trade in value if you have to buy a phone to trade in.
5.) Submit your final bill from step 2 to claim the up to $1000.
6.) Sell the phone you purchased from step 1 on ebay/swappa/CL/Mercari/FB
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Is there any way to do this if one is currently on a Verizon family plan, but wants to break off and form a separately billed and separate address account with another person who has their own single line Verizon plan?

Have an S9 that is now slow as shit

You have to add a new line of service and the port must be from another provider to maximize both promotions.

If you want to keep your phone number you can port to Google Voice and use that temporarily for some time before porting back in. I've done this on several occasions to take advantage of these types of promos. I typically wait 90+ days before porting back in. Many current Verizon promotions now require you to continuously meet plan eligibility (such as stay on Premium Unlimited data) and maintain continuous service for some time frame, some as long as 12+ months, or they can claw back the promotion. I have not yet seen any terms and conditions around porting in a number though. I have found that keeping my number ported out for 90+ days is a safe-ish way to ensure Verizon doesn't consider the number a returning customer (they usually do if the number has had Verizon service within the past 45 days) and they decide I've violated promotion terms.

It's infrequent but sometimes they do have good upgrade deals. During the iPhone 13 preorder the trade-in values matched this deal but you had to be on/upgrade to a premium unlimited plan. I had one of my lines already on that plan and upgraded an iPhone 11 pro to a 13 pro by trading in a cracked screen S9 I bought on ebay for $60 to receive $800 bill credits and subsequently sold the iPhone 11 pro on FB marketplace for $600 to cover the remaining cost to upgrade and then some.

Isn't the $1,000 switch promo expired on 11/17?

Complicated situation I'm trying to figure out. I would like to transfer my device as well as two others onto a new plan. Can the three of them be eligible for the $800 trade in totaling $2400? All three are from separate carriers.

Damn, the lowest available plan verizon has is $70 a month with autopay, doesnt seem like a deal IMO with that type of plan.

Do you only have a single line? Verizon's current unlimited data plans are not cost effective for single lines.

I want to switch my family to Verizon - 4 of us would have iphones from Sprint to trade in, and then we'd have to add another line for one of my daughters with nothing currently to trade-in. I find doing these things/switching, etc. SO stressful! From what I've been researching/trying to understand - would my best option for the line we currently don't have a trade-in for to be just to buy off ebay - I'm just worried I'll do something wrong/buy the wrong thing! Best to do these types of switches to a new carrier online or in-store? I was trying to see if the same offers are currently in store too??

Want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly, this means 11/17 is the last day the deal is valid right?

As a 25 year loyal Verizon customer, I'm so disappointed in the fact they never offer anything without something in return...not even anything to sign up new phone lines! And who has time to buy and sell products in order to take advantage of an offer? They should have simply offered something comparable to TMobile & ATT. It's definitely time to switch.
