I have this - bought one used for $20 years ago. It's fine, but it's a step down in build and sound quality you get with something like a Focusrite Scarlet or presumingly a Behringer U-Phoria. NOTE - this can't input or output anything more than 16-48, but works great for Zoom and Teams with a dynamic or condenser or for streaming music (my recent use for it) to headphones. No HD music. At $20, it's a deal!

I play a lot of games using discord, I also am getting ready to buy a good pair of good-quality speakers, and lastly, I work from home and use my mic a lot and I often need to make recordings similar to podcasts. Would this be a good device to purchase? I was also looking into mixers as well. I am just starting to research all of this stuff and wasn't sure if I should buy it now and think later.
