FYI - Eddie Bauer no longer has a lifetime warranty. Everything looks to be only a year now.

I bought this last year and didn't like it at all. The fit ended up being rather baggy and it was VERY thin. Just be aware when you buy this that you're buying basically a shell, not like a winter coat.

And yes—it did smell very bad.

Does this coat list the down fill at 650? I have a couple Costco down vests of various brands and none list the fill power of the down and none are very warm, so assuming pretty poor leftover down in the ones I have. I just look for the down rating to at least be present when buying online.

Yikes. I follow both EB and down a little. $50-60 is probably fair everyday price here and $40 is close enough to their bottom price I will snag one.

For $100 I would expect a much better jacket. This is cheapest name brand entry level down and free shipping is legit. $7 returns is terrible but unfortunately somewhat standard these days.

RE the smell, when down is wet the farm smell returns and proper drying will help. Tennis balls in dryer help with clumping and I wash all my down (coats pillow blankets) together in a separate load.

Didn't work for us. My husband ordered this, and it brought it down to 39.99 then they charged us full price for it. There is also no returns it says. So we called, and they told us they didn't show that code anywhere. After arguing with them I just said to cancel it. Still haven't received cancellation email. So, called back they resent it and it's still not there. Checked junk too. Just be cautious.

I always wanted to have an EB jacket but I could not afford it. Now I decided to pull the trigger and buy one. I got medium Atlantic color. I am sooo excited that I will have a new jacket.Thanks whoever found this deal.

Bought this before when it was $40. Regrets:
Unbelivably thin and not very warm. A very light jacket that's worth about $25 in my opinion.
Looks stupid as a light jacket on a spring day, and not nearly enough for any cold winter. I've got not use for it!
