Likely any Drill will do for IKEA as it does not require high power/torque.
If you want to get a nice kit, this is a good one I have and been using it for years.

If you just want to get a drill for IKEA cant beat the price, will suffice for furniture assembly

Drill - putting in screws/drill bits
Impact - putting in heavy duty screws/bits
Wrench - mostly for automotive

brushless is the best but considerably more expensive and likely too much for rare use.

Wouldn't it be better to get a combo drill/driver so you could just have 1 tool?

Seems too large for a dedicated screwdriver. May as well use a drill at this point.

This thing looks huge for a screw driver. It's an ok deal if you need it right away. I'd rather wait for a deal on the Milwaukee M12 combo that comes around once every few months.

Ya, I'd get the drill. It should work pretty good for the most part for basic uses and be lightweight. I used the impact doing electrical work and never had to pick up the 20V for the month and a half I was doing that job. These are extremely capable, but for things like mixing mortar or putting lag bolts in the wall for a TV mount, that doesn't have enough torque. I wouldn't want it for building my mom's shed out of 2x4s like I did. These are great, but know your limits.

The main reason I'd say to get the drill is if you want cheap drill bits instead of 1/4" drive ones. You can get a chuck to use on your impact, but it can be a struggle.

The good thing about this is you can still get into some of the DeWalt accessories, like the radio/speaker and some others. I've been waiting to get this, and I'm fine with the single tool for $50 instead of a pair. I have enough drills.

Get this, you'll never find this kind of quality for $50. Sure I like the brushless one better, but when I got this years ago, it immediately became my favorite drill. Form factor is amazing.

It'll do 95% of what a full size will do.

As your first drill get the Drill one, as it will be the most versatile.

Good drill for light duty. Got it for woodworking - nice because it fits into small spaces that the 20v won't always

Lowes also has a Dewalt 20v brushless drill/driver (one tool) 1/2 with 2 batteries and charger for $99. Got it yesterday. To me that was the better value.

Sign showed original piece was 159.

The 3/8 inch cordless drill is probably the more versatile pick of the three if you're doing light work. For anything else like driving 2 1/2-3 inch screws the Impact driver is a must!! POWER

By no means am I professional but I do think the screwdriver set has a place for most households, ie to put together tedious furniture like from IKEA. I have the dewalt drill and driver but they are too powerful for these small projects, resulting in striped screws and or cracked cheap wood pieces.
I personally prefer the smaller handheld ones from dewalt, Milwuakee or black and decker but this is a good deal for this particular device.
My 2 cents. Thanks
