I own two of these in the elite variant but only paid $49.99 each for them during a one time sale on Amazon. Haven't seen them go that cheap since, so I was glad I bought two.

These are neat and really good at starting seeds for transplanting after they sprout. I do _NOT_ recommend leaving plants in the unit long term. The max height on this isn't able to support the actual height of the plants after a few weeks.

The food they provide for the plants is plenty for herbs and most plants but if you're serious about growing plants indoors you'll quickly switch to Master Blend as it's far better for the plants.

I've successfully grow tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, broccoli, kale and around 8 different types of herbs. These are great for getting children interested in plants.

I spent only half of the price to setup my own DWC (Deep Water Culture) system.
1. Black Sterilite dish pan from Walmart for $3
2. Black foam board to be used as lid $3
3. Quality air pump with 4 outlets $25
4. Net Cups 25pcs for $6
5. Clay pebbles for $15
6. Using 5000K lumens shoplight bought for $14 which covers almost 4-5 such DWC systems so I saved money on individual LED grow lights.
7. 1/16" black air pump tube + stones, accessories for $9

Going good so far..

PS: I do have 2 iDoo (one 12 pod and one 10 pod) models

I was having the same question too. The pod looks the same but the Costco one seems to come with more accessories like tomato pods and sears etc. but macy's has more colors to choose from.

Always wanted one for the kids but never got it since it's mostly on sale at kohl's requiring a kohl's card. Finally placed my order and RMN cb site gives 12% cb.

I was tempted to get one but several of the reviews mention having a problem with slime. I don't live near a Macy's so I am avoiding this deal because it would be a hassle to return. A lot of the reviews are good so if you are adventerous and/or you could easily return the unit if it generates slime then it seems like a great deal. (Or if you like slime.)

The Costco deal is not the same unit as Macy's, it is actually the Elite Slim, however the features are mostly the same with the exception of the controls and the cosmetics of the unit.

I have an Aerogarden Classic that I got from a SD here a while back and love it for ease of growing herbs and greens but it's SO LOUD. Are they any quieter now? We unplugged ours a year ago to rearrange some things in the room and have been so pleased with the new-found quiet we haven't plugged it back in. I'm a brown thumb without it, though.

Just a heads up, after like 2 years your led lights will die and aerograden won't sell replacements so you are stuck buying a whole new aerograden. It's just not cost effective at all.
