Those rotary cutters are VERY sharp, in case you haven't used one. It's pretty easy to accidentally remove a finger tip with them. Be careful!

You can use it for other materials too.

I use the cutting mat for my hobby and it works very well. I mostly cut paper and cardstock.
The rotary cutter is usable for more than fabric too. The ruler is a ruler.

Good option for cheap Christmas gifts. With shipping issues everywhere this make making tie blankets super easy.. Fleece is generally cheap at the craft stores

Bought this set several years ago. Used it a lot for mask making and it still works and looks great. Replacement cutter blades are inexpensive and easy to install. Highly recommend.

I bought 2 of the mats for me and the wife for our craft room. After about 6 months of slight use both of them are delaminating at the corners. Also 1 of them has a bubble in the middle thats on both sides. I would not buy this brand again. Its possible I got 2 bad mats

At this price the cutter alone is about 50% of the price, plus the nice ruler, and maybe some throwaway mats after some short term use.

It's very sharp so it will cut wherever you push it. Making a straight line is up to you. Using a tall straight edge on a cutting mat helps when cutting paper.
