Yup. I had my WalMart amount hacked last year too. The guy tried to send himself tires and some trinkets. I immediately cancelled the order and the dummy tried to purchase two more times before I could change my password which I immediately cancelled. He put his name and address in the delivery info each time. What a clown.
That's awful. I hate thieves. In my case, Walmart did nothing to the package being delivered to the scammer as far as I know. There was a shipping tracking number and address and I called Walmart customer service about the scam but they did nothing. Maybe, they just filed loss prevention insurance or something to recover the money than chase after the thieves. Oh well.

Interestingly, I had bought REI gift cards yesterday with 6% off for the highest discount without any codes available. Now the highest discount cards are 4%. I wonder if other brands' discounts were also decreased to compensate for the promo code.
I believe individual gift card sellers on Raise set the discount on GC they want to sell. That's why you see 0% discount, 5% discount, etc. However, maybe Raise still do what you said to adjust discounts rate for the promo code?
I also believe the sellers also ship out their GC by printing the shipping label online when the physical GC sells. I have bought physical GC from Raise and they came in no-so-official looking white basic envelopes. Digital gift cards are different since they arrive in minutes in Raise email, though.

When these promos go live, all the highest discounted cards get sold first, leaving the less discounted ones.
Have you seen this Target deal that includes REI gift cards:

https://slickdeals.net/f/15401392-75-happy-gift-cards-various-email-delivery-10-target-egc-75?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1
This is a way better deal without the risk of stolen GCs (as much). Effectively 18.33% off REI, which is amazing. In for another $150 worth.

Same here, I have bought mainly Lowe's and Cabela's gift cards from them.
I had two issues in my first like 5 purchases. So anecdotally they definitely happen. That being said, the key is to not click the "issue with a card" in order history page, it's best to contact support directly on chat (I did through messenger)

Sorry to hear that! I can't speak for others, I was just sharing my own experience with them. Thanks for the tip though, I will keep that in mind.

Are you sure it was Raise seller who used Walmart GC you bought? Several years ago, I added Walmart GC to my Walmart account. My Walmart account got hacked and the thief used my saved Walmart GC to buy expensive drone. (I was saving up GC to buy PS4 for Christmas.) I have a feeling Walmart accounts get hacked a lot. I have never had my Amazon account hacked and I feel safe to save Amazon GC in my account. I don't trust Walmart account for saving GC.
Yes, it was the Raise seller.
I had another gift card in my Walmart.com account.
That gift card was untouched.

Oddly (?) all out of Apple gift cards.
It's in stock again. I managed to get three. One with new user promo (15%), one with this (7%), and one with subscribe to email and text promo ($10 off $100).

I ordered a card this morning and immediately tried to use it. The gift card was suspended. I had to to call the company's customer service. They had to research it and find that it was purchased fraudulently. Now I have to figure out how to get my money back from raise. It's been a total waste of time. I don't think I'll ever buy another gift card from this website again.

Forward that information to Raise.
It is preferable to get a screenshot.

Raise refunded me the next day after I initiated a Help Desk ticket.

Contact Raise and ask them for refund. If they do not, hopefully you purchased with a credit card and can do a charge back. I think their customer service is so-so, not the best, but not the worst.

Hmmmmm, I checked the balance of my giftcard at the store website and it was working.. A few days later it says it's INVALID.

I've opened a support ticket. This is not a good first experience lol. Might have to delete this app after this gets straighten out.

Kind of annoying when you're about to make a purchase on something only to find out a big fat INVALID GIFT CARD message upon checkout.

EDIT
LOL oh man, their CS is non-existent also it seems like. They disabled their chat link on their website and they've hidden the number unless you google it.

https://www.raise.com/support
1 (888) 578-8422 (automatic voicemail)

Email: [email protected]

EDIT 2: I called the actual retailer for information about the giftcards, confirmed they were used by another on 11/26. Think they are double dipping selling the same giftcards to multiple buyers.

EDIT 3: Refund complete, waste of time.
