The deal is really on the controller. The Chromecast Ultra is 5 years old and deprecated. It's been replaced by the Google TV which does 4K too but comes with a remote and real user interface.

If you have ATT fiber check your deals in your portal. Fiber customers get 6 months of Pro free and once you enable that you get a code to buy this bundle for 20 bucks.

Does it work with Chromecast w/ Google TV, or would I have to use this Chromecast to play?

Given Googles propensity to abandon products I'm not keen on investing much on this, but at $22, maybe it's worth a shot.

Stadia is good 90% of the time. It's that tricky platform jump or that boss fight with timing a shot on a weak point that you are farked. The hard stuff is 10x harder because of lag spikes. If you just want to play stadia, use your phone and an Xbox controller

It will work with both. So if you have a Google TV you now have a game system in multiple rooms, plus any computer with a browser.

It's for both Fiber and Unlimited Wireless accounts. I believe you do need to have a line that has upgraded to 5G though. https://www.att.com/gaming/
