This is the "whatever we found enough supply of and not stuck in shipping containers" Black Friday sale.

What? No they don't laugh out loud
They're taking returns until early January. I'd say that's pretty generous.

Every store is. Generally, they have one of the worst return policies.

Unexpected release of ad and having said ad live a week before isn't cool for me.. I hate the whole pick and choose situation unexpectedly.

honestly doubt that is the BF add. Just more money grabbing like they have been doing all month.
Notice the days closer to BF don't have really anything on the pages.

Could be wrong, but I'm thinking with how bad inflation is right now, buyers could be a bit scarce this year. If I'm correct, prices could nose dive after Thanksgiving if sales numbers don't look good for retailers. I'm holding off for awhile this year.

"February" is what my friends in retail say will be the time when cargo in generous amounts being transported from cargo ships last, this, and next month will make it to the actual sales floors.
Plentiful Cargo is on its way from cargo ships! just there is a process involved

short story: think black Friday being in Februray this year

On 11/24 it says MBA will be on sale for $150 off. Is that $150 off $899 or $999?

I'm really hoping its previous low $749 price

Shopping frustrates me to no end. The entire consumer based society we have is depressing. The endless buying, and tossing.

I just would like some rules, quality over quantity. Proper waste disposal by almost complete disassembly and reuse of majority of the materials.

Food waste? Ridiculous. Fashion mountains? Insane. Plastic islands? Preposterous. We're *ucked and it's because our entire way of life is beyond ridiculous and completely unsustainable.

Why? I ask myself that every single day. Ultra processed food because people are too busy working/living/wasting to make proper fresh home cooked meals. Individually you don't even have to be that person, but imagine if actual restaurants existed that made real food in bulk daily. You know as the majority, not now with most places selling factory food. The reason being cost competition, everyone eating this hyper sodium factory processed junk that also happens to be cheap. You can't compete making healthy fresh time-consuming whole meals at 5x the cost and 1/2 the flavour.

People don't even care. It's like they're blind. What do you want from your life? More cars, bigger house, more junk? Why! It's all beyond pointless.
I find it ironic that I click on "like" for your post, while I am on SD looking for more junk to buy that I definitely don't need. Listen, you are totally right and I am aware that I am part of the problem. Someday I hope we are all better. As an interesting side note, when I first moved to Europe from the US shopping for deals and junk was not so much of a thing. However, in the last few years, there is Halloween and BF everywhere and new sites popping up that mimic SD. The consumer mindset has infected the whole world. I guess the benefit is that I can buy junk cheaper in Europe now Frown
