I grew up on the originals so those will always be my favorites but this is definitely a worthy sequel. I would say it is the hardest out of the 4 but there is an option(you can toggle this on and off) for unlimited lives. Completing the game 100% is extremely difficult. I would recommend the game, especially for this price

For those who may be interested, I found this to be an excellent platformer even as someone who didn't play the original Crash Bandicoot games. It is challenging, introduces some fun mechanics, ideas, and playable characters, and features some very difficult challenges for those who want to go above and beyond. Highly recommended. I played on the Xbox One X and Series X but from what I've read, the Switch version is also great.

Pretty significant changes in that there's more playable characters (at least 5) who play very differently and a lot of new platforming challenges and ideas.

Lots of classic Crash ideas return but overall it's a fresh experience.
